The Rainbow Bridge

...Grieve not,
nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you...
I loved you so -
'twas heaven here with you.

Libby
Hi Judy, I'm saddened to tell you that right after Christmas I had to lay my beloved Libby to rest. She gave me seven wonderful years, traveled to Germany twice, to Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Georgia. She loved to go shopping and was always on the go. Her cancer and weak heart was just greater than her. But she reached a good age and was happy here. She slept in my arm, so peaceful. God will look after her now. I will miss her, she was a good baby. May she rest with the angels. Martina

Libby
Our precious baby girl - Libby. We adopted her from PRBJ in 2005 after she was rescued from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. She captured our hearts and our 2 boys at home let her come in and take over. She gave us 5 years of pure joy and we miss her dearly. In her honor we will adopt another girlie in need of a home. When we left the shelter with Libby you told us to "enjoy her" and that we did. She was the sweetest girl, wiggled her tail like crazy and howled for her morning Milkbone biscuit. We love and miss you Libby Lou. Sara & Jonathan S.

Lila
Lila passed away January 2007 at the good age of 14. Lila was shoved under a fence at The Animal Shelter in Winter Garden and was so tiny that they had her in with the cats. My husband was volunteering with a building project out there and had my older son with, who found her and fell in love. They called me and said I would never guess what they were bringing home. They were right! And do you know, she acted like a cat - rubbed on our legs and other things.

Lilly the Senior Lab
We adopted our precious Lilly from PRBJ in July 2011. She had been our foster dog for almost three months and we couldn't bear to let her go. Lilly passed away last week due to bleeding tumors. There was nothing the doctor's could do to save her. Our entire family is so heartbroken. > Lilly was a perfect fit for our family and got along so well with her sister dog, Leia and 5 cat siblings. We all loved her so much and miss her every day. She had some crazy habits and had an overwhelming obsession to eat the cat's food! But we loved her anyway. > Thank you for bringing Lilly into our lives for two short but wonderful years! > > Patti

Lucky Dog
Lucky was born on August 30, 2010 and I rescued her and adopted her on February 16, 2011. She was less then 6 months old and the cutest and sweetest dog ever. Lucky was so smart and eager to please that she was doing all kinds of tricks within a week. She loved everyone, be they two legged or four. She loved to play with my other dog and all of the many fosters that spent time in my home. Lucky loved everyone and everyone loved her so much in return. Unfortunately at just over three years of age Lucky developed pains in her neck and it was determined after three weeks of medicating and testing including MRI X-ray and Ultra Sound, and spinal tap, that she had incurable auto immune disease and deformities in her skull and spinal problems. Her suffering ended on October 15, 2013. She is gone but will not be forgotten by the many that loved her.
