One-Eyed Willie
We received a very sad letter recently, telling us about the passing of One-Eyed Willie (formerly known as Dexter.) Here is what his adopter had to say: "Willie brought me so much joy for the 14 months he lived with me. He was not your typical Chihuahua. He didn't bite or growl or nip at anyone. He even played with my young grandchildren when they came to visit. It took a while for him to warm up to me and my 4 other adopted dogs. After that, he was attached to me like Velcro."

What to say about Tina?? I don't even know what to say about Tinabelle... there are so many good memories!! She has traveled extensively through out her life with me. I remember driving with her on long road trips; we even flew together once from VA to SC!! The first time she saw snow she was about 4yrs. old... I remember she was scared of it at first, and then she couldn't get enough of it! She was so adorable bounding through the snow. It was so high (only about 3ft. but Tina was a small dog) that if she would have been all white she would have been lost in all the snow!! I am sad that she is gone; that I'll never get to pet her silky, short-hair coat, watch her do her tricks, chase her toys, or see her big beautiful brown eyes looking at me... But I am content knowing that she had a happy and full life. There was good and bad, but I believe the good outweighs any bad experiences she may of had: She was a mother of six beautiful Boston Terrier puppies! She had a total of four boys, and two girls who all found loving homes. The Great Love of her life and father of her babies was Hercules( a gorgeous Boston!), and her best doggy friend was Rocky(an adorable Manchester Terrier) who is somewhat lost and forlorn without her. She was a good mother, and even when she didn't have puppies, she always had her motherly instincts. She tried to nurse, bathe and care for numerous animals: primarily kittens, but also baby squirrels, as well as one baby chick... I remember when we first brought home my mom's black cat Tabitha. Right away Tina wanted to care for her, and Tabitha used to ride "doggy back" on Tina around the house. Tina used to bathe and groom all of our cats when they would let her, as well as her buddy Rocky. Again, I have so many memories with her that I would need to write a memoir to cover it all!! We will all miss her so much; I do miss her, and it still doesn't feel real... but I know it is and nothing can change it. I am just glad that she is free of pain now and in Doggy Heaven, with Hercules. I am grateful for all the years we shared, there will never be a dog like Tinabelle again. She was mine, and the family's, Baby Princess known by various endearments such as: Baby Belle, Tina, Tinabelle, and Baby Girl. For Lady Valentina, we Love you and will miss you!!! I know we will meet again, until then have fun in the sky!! Love, Your Family
