After spending 17 months at the rescue waiting for a home, Mimosa went to one of our amazing foster homes with her friend, Boom Chocolatta. Both girls were very shy and skittish in the shelter environment and overlooked by adopters. They have spent the last 3 months in their loving foster home learning to be happy cats-playing, cuddling with each other and learning to be comfortable around people and accepting love. Their personalities have blossomed.

Mimosa was still a baby herself when she had kittens and now in her foster home she is learning to play and do all the things she didn’t get to do as a kitten. She acts more like a 1 year old cat and loves to explore, climbing high and low. She accepts rubs and affection but does not like to be picked up.

Mimosa and Boom Chocolatta would love to find a home together as they have become very close. They give each other confidence and enjoy sleeping, exploring and playing together. If they are not adopted together, they will need a home that has another friendly cat and an experienced adopter that is willing to give them the time to acclimate to a new home and family.

Mimosa was surrendered to our rescue when her owner was unable to care for her and couldn't afford to get her spayed. Mimosa is very shy and at first skittish. A quiet, low traffic home with no children would work for her best for her. She does get scared of loud noises and fast movements.  Once she gets to knows you, she is a lovebug!
