Chi Chi and his family were all named after famous golfers. Chi Chi was named after Juan Antonio "Chi-Chi" Rodríguez is a Puerto Rican professional golfer. He was the first Puerto Rican to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Foster Update 06/22/11: Chi Chi has a beautiful golden brown coat, with just a hint of black and brown down his back. His eyes were blue when he was a baby, but now they have turned a gorgeous green color. He is a handsome boy! He's smart and learning quickly. My 10 year-old has been working with him on commands. He knows "sit" and "stay" and next they will be working on "come" and "down". Chi Chi will work for treats! He's getting much better at walking on a leash, and still working on house training. Chi Chi is crate trained, and can spend 6-7 hours a night in the crate without accidents. He gets along fine with cats, and plays well with my kids. He barks when someone comes to the door, but is not a nuisance barker. I have noticed that Chi Chi sometimes shows some "dominance" behaviors. For example, he wants to eat first and will push his brother out of the way, and he likes to tackle his brother and sometimes plays rough ~ typical puppy stuff.Foster Update 06/08/11: Chi Chi plays hard, sleeps well and loves to chew on toys. He wants to eat three or four times a day. When he is hungry he pulls on your clothes and can be a little rough. Adapts very quicky to new situations. He is a very lovable dog. He just wants to play, eat and sleep. He adapted very quickly to cats and a dog. He follows my pomeranian around the neighborhood. I was told he wasn't leash trained yet but he picked up quickly. He is not potty trained yet, but it working on it. He does use the newspaper. He doesn't have any issues with anyone. Chi Chi trusts everyone and just wants to be loved. I think he would make a great dog for anyone.
