FOSTER UPDATE: 12/28/20
Precious is a fantastic companion and a loyal dog. She loves to snuggle (and snore!) and when it is a bit colder she loves to snooze with you under a blanket. She is very playful and doing zoomies outside is one of her favorite pastimes. When you come back home she will wag her tail so hard that it almost hits her in her face. She continues to be a calm dog indoors and does perfectly when she is alone. We've done some time-lapses when we were out and she mainly snoozes on the sofa and stares at the squirrels in the garden. She is not a barky dog but will alert you by barking once when the doorbell is rung. She learns commands easily; in a matter of days, she learned to sit and stay when we put her food on the ground. We can even walk out of her sight without her running towards her bowl. She loves people but can be a bit nervous/protective when new people approach her. She usually does warm up to people quickly though. Due to a lack of socialization, she still needs to work on her dog reactiveness. She has already made progress and has dog friends in the neighborhood that she loves playing with.
FOSTER UPDATE: 10/18/20
Precious has been with us for a week now, and she is the sweetest goofball. When we picked her up at PRBJ she was full of energy, but as soon as we got home, she transformed into the calm dog she actually is. She absolutely loves to cuddle on the sofa and play with toys. When you go to sit on the sofa, there is a 99% chance she will join you for cuddles and to give you unlimited kisses. It might come as no surprise that she is a big lapdog and her favorite thing is to snooze in your arms. She would be your shadow in the house because she loves to be around you the whole time. She doesn’t bark when she is in the house, but will run up to the window whenever the neighbor’s cat walks by and is NOT GOOD WITH CATS. She remains calm when she is by herself, and we can let her roam freely in the house when alone without problems. She has not broken anything or chewed on anything she is not supposed to chew on.
Precious is just as her name describes her. We rescued her from a kill shelter and she is super, super sweet! She is a little nervous when she is first in new environments but seems to warm up quickly. Please fill out an application to meet her.
