Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Noah
Noah

My husband Cameron and I adopted Noah, the pit bull mix, in August 2007. I know that Noah was with PRBJ for a while (I think 5 months?), and many people became close to him, so I wanted to let you know how he is doing. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that we found Noah; we already had one dog, who is quite a handful, and I was definitely not looking for another dog at the time... But Noah knew differently! He is the sweetest, cuddliest, happiest dog I've ever met. He and Tucker, our Australian Cattle Dog, have their fair share of sibling rivalry, but they are inseparable. They love each other and us. Noah has put on about 15 pounds (but still very lean and strong! - I think it's all muscle!), and has actually gotten taller, too. He is a joy for everyone who meets him. With a little help from a dog trainer (BarkBusters), Noah has even learned how to show his love without jumping 6 feet in the air! :) I've attached a couple of pictures. I mostly wanted everyone at PBRJ who loves Noah to know that he is a great home, he loves his brother Tucker, and we love Noah SO much! We are actually plan a move to Charlotte, NC in a couple of months and think Noah will enjoy the weather and about half an acre of yard to roam in even more! Thank you for everything; I am truly sorry to hear about all of the challenges you're facing and will keep all of you in my prayers! ~ Sincerely, Kate L.
