Valerie the Amazing Survivor

Valerie - now Button - owes her life to some very special people. Derek and Angela found her with her severely broken jaw, rescued her, and raised money to pay for her medical care. Jackie made the decision to fight for her when others wanted to put her down. Dr. Susan Wayne performed miraculous surgery to fix her jaw. And Skye nurtured her after her surgery to make sure she recovered and grew to be strong and healthy. Without these dedicated and loving folks, I wouldn't have the complete joy that she brings to my life every single day. She is a happy, playful, clever and adoring cat and I am grateful every day to have her. Thanks to all of you!

Hi, We have renamed her Katie and she is doing well. She still gets into stuff but not as much as when we first got her. I have had to crate her when we leave the house but we are home most of the time anyway. She is a sweetheart and part of our family now. Lori
