Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Roofus th Boxer
Roofus th Boxer

We have now had Roofus for over 2 1/2 years. He was a 1 year old Pit Bull/ Boxer mix when we fell in love with him at Petsmart in Altamonte Springs! He was originally a Roofus, but was renamed "Ringo" on adoption today. We decided to keep his as a "Roofus" and he is a wonderful, loving and goofy addition to our other 2 dogs and 3 cats. We go to the dog park every weekend and I love to prove people wrong about their perception of mean, scary 'pit bulls.' ~ Kristin L.

Remmington the Puppy
Remmington the Puppy

Mike and I adopted Remmington (Remy) in May of 2008, and he's growing up to be such a handsome boy! He'll be a year old next month, and his favorite thing to do is chase lizards on the back porch. He loves going to the dog park and gets along really well with all the other dogs. He has three friends: 2 greyhounds and a Corgi/Sheltie mix. The Corgi loves him, but Remy and the greyhounds REALLY play together, chasing each other around the yard and doing figure-eights at lightning speed! We've been doing some research, and think he's a mix of Plott Hound, Mountain Cur, and Tennessee Treeing Brindle dogs. He's a bit mutt of love! He's 50 pounds now, but I don't think he'll be growing anymore. He loves going on walks, and is 90% broken of pulling at the leash. We even took him down to Key West with us, and he had the BEST time walking around all over the city and hanging out in restaurants with us! His favorite treat is to chomp on ice cubes, and I think he really enjoys living with us. Thank you so much for helping to bring him into our lives! -Vicki

Ritzi the Shepherd
Ritzi the Shepherd

We are the Campanaro's and we adopted Ritzi on the 5th of July. He has been a wonderful addition to our family and enjoys a new name, Fritz. We already had a French Bulldog, Madeline, and they have become fast friends. I attached a couple of pictures so that you can see how well he has adjusted. Thank you so much! Candice, Joe, Maddie and Fritz

Reeces the Calico
Reeces the Calico

I adopted Reeces in July of 2005 - she's my baby and so spoiled. She's strictly a house kitty and loves it. My husband is retired so he is home with her most of the day (too many treats). She follows him all over the house. ~ Libby
