Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Necee the Shepherd/Lab Puppy

I wanted to share a picture of our adopted girls, Maddie and NeeCee (now called Abby and Charley). We recently adopted Charley (NeeCee) so our Abby (Maddie adopted in August) would have a companion. Abby sort of chose Charley when we visited the Oviedo Marketplace adoption center on December 2nd. It was a very smart choice. Charley and Abby are extremely compatible. They play together a lot. They sleep near each other. A very good match. We couldn't be happier. They also show little to no jealousy towards each other, which is a pleasant surprise. Charley is still a puppy and as such is not quite housetrained yet, though her 'accidents' are becoming fewer and fewer. We are so thrilled with our girls. Everyone who meets them likes them. We feel lucky to have them in our family and are so happy we decided to adopt through Pet Rescue by Judy. You guys are incredible!

Natallie the Sweet Shepherd
Natallie the Sweet Shepherd

So far things are OK with Natallie. She has forgotten her housebreaking and will stay in her crate tonight from the time that I go to bed until I get up in the morning. She is certainly very loving and has been having a good time checking out the house. She still does not quiete what to think of this large yard and at first would not venture out without me staying with her. She is finally gaining the confidence to go exploring without me. One inconvenient thing is that she knows how to open lever type door 'knobs'. I have not figured out how I am going to handle that when I have to go outside through the garage or someone is working here and using that entrance for coming inside and going outside. I suppose that I will find a very heavy door stop. I have found it a pleasure to work with you in finding me a loving companion. Barb.

Nestle the Siamese Kitten

I just wanted to give you a heartfelt thank you for being so kind during our adoption yesterday. It was so nice to meet you and I cannot tell you how much joy our new kittens have brought to our family! My mother Linda Emery, adopted Sugar, the Siamese kitten and we adopted Nestle. It has been so much fun to watch them play together and I truly feel that we are all a good match! The work that your organization does is amazing and we would love to keep posted on any volunteer opportunities!

Nelson the Gentle Kitten

Hi Catherine--Bill got a good picture of Benny Nelson this morning, and I thought you would like an update. He is about 14 months old. He weighs 9.13lbs. And he seems very happy with his new "forever home." I'll keep in touch. Thanks for nurturing him so well!

Nico the Loving Rottie/ Shepard Mix

I must say looking back at last year when my husband brought me to the mall to show me Neiko I was apprehensive about even walking into the store. I was still hurting over the loss of my Jessie. I never felt I could love a dog as much as I loved her. Well Neiko has changed my feelings, he is loved just as much. He has brought much joy, and the big guy thinks he is a puppy and likes to lay in our laps etc. He is still crazy about his ball, which we play with everyday. I feel so bad when it rains and he can’t play outside. He makes me feel guilty! What a character he is. He is so loving and loves to cuddle as you can see from the picture. We take him everywhere we go…even Disney. We went there for the day and boarded him at the Disney kennel for the day, I told him he was going to see Pluto..lol … Thank you to all of you at the pet rescue, I just look at him and wonder who could of left him to die. I love my Boy!!!! PS.. Notice his ball in the picture.
