Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Chrissy the Chihuahua
Chrissy the Chihuahua

We love the dog and she has adapted well. I enclose a few photos of Chrissie by herself and one with Harriet. Many Thanks, and may God continue to bless your work. ~Rev Doyle and Harriet

Cookie the Boxer
Cookie the Boxer

Just wanted to give you an update for all of those who remember Cookie and Ginger, the two beautiful boxers whose owner was killed by a drunk driver. They have adopted very well to their new home, although it took Cookie a couple of weeks to make friends with her new "brother," Rocky. The three of them are best buddies now. Ginger and Cookie are wonderful to have around. They love to be around the pool deck, although neither of them have ventured to get in the pool with their brother. Both have put on weight and you can no longer see either of their ribs. It's so nice to come home from work and be greeted like the two of them do. We love them to death and my wife and I often think about who got the best deal, Ginger and Cookie or us! I hope their original owner is looking down on us and seeing that they are being taken care of very well and that they are very happy! Thanks Judy for giving us the opportunity to bring this kind of happiness into our lives. ~ Dale

Chewy the Greyhound
Chewy the Greyhound

We just want to update You on Chewy, who we adopted on 3/11/09. We are so Happy to have Chewy in out life. He is so Loyal, Loving and Happy and just wants to be near us. He is such a smart Dog and knows many tricks and very good inside. He only barks when someone is outside our RV-a good watch dog. We are now in Michigan until the Fall, so Chewy got the experience of walking in snow, which he loved. He goes for long walks in the woods usually 2-3 times per day and gets to see Wildlife, Deer & Wild Turkey. He even likes the trip to McDonald's for a cup of ice cream!! Charlie & Janet Hess

Cash the Bull Terrier
Cash the Bull Terrier

Judy, This Cash's forever parents Doug and Shirley. We wanted to let you know that he is doing great. We re-named him Billy. This is short for Billy Goat. Because of the way he jumped and climbed all over the furniture and tables when we first got him. We have corrected most all of his behavior problems. He is doing really good with letting us know when he has to go out, sit, stay and come. We are working on heeling now and he is catching on well. He loves to crawl under the covers with us during this cold spell. He still has a dog aggression problem with certain dogs. He now gets along with about 75% of the other dogs we interact with. That is way better than him trying to attack 100% of them. I have attached a couple pictures. Sincerely, Doug & Shirley C.
