Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Casey the Yorkie

Thanks for the email regarding Casey. We are very glad to brag on our newest member of the family. It seems to us that she is adjusting well to the household, which has been known to have some challenges involved for people. We aren't quite sure what she thinks of us, but she is trying very hard to communicate with us on all levels (she even taught us how to fetch, sort of - she rolls the ball to us!). She does have her chores to do everyday and is executing them very well. First thing every morning while on "squirrel patrol" she checks the entire perimeter of the back yard, making sure all outside dogs are outside of our yard, all squirrels are in their assigned tree, and most important that the whale in the swimming pool is swimming the circles in the correct direction (counter clockwise). Then she has breakfast, of course she always wants more than she gets! Then she makes a choice of a family member to which she is going to give more attention that day. Some days she lays in her BIG New Bed next to Connie, the Mom, and takes a nap, another days she lays on a soft and silky Baby blanket next to Thelma, the Grandmother, which is the best position to see anyone going into the kitchen, getting food, and watching if they are coming her way. And finally, she lays in her little bed in Roger's , the Dad, "man and best friend cave" and either naps or watches football (snacks are always involved). Her first trip to the vet, just a meet and greet appointment, was great. She put on her jewel\studded purple collar and leash and at the vet's she went up to every dog and cat there to show off her jewels. We are still getting to now each other, but we all, including Casey, feel good about the experience. We love her very much and we think if she doesn't already, she will very soon love and trust us, too. Thanks you so much for making us all have a happy home! The pictures are of Casey on patrol. The first one is the overview of the backyard before we walk the perimeter. The second picture is Casey using an elephant ear plant as camouflage for squirrel surveillance. The third picture is of Casey making sure the BIG German Shepherd that lives next door is still next door. We haven't taken any more pictures of Casey, but I am sure we will have an album full before long. God bless you all! Connie & family

ChaCha the Grease Puppy

Hello Pet Rescue by Judy, I wanted to send you guys am update on our little Mia (formerly known as ChaCha). Our little pup is full of energy, and personality and loves playing with her new family! She thoroughly enjoys her outside play time, walks and her puppy play dates with Emma and Sammy. She found the stairs tricky and scary at first, but now she's running up and down with ease. She finally has the potty training down, and surprises us with how smart she is with her tricks (sitting, staying, laying down, recognizing her name...). We are so grateful for our new family member! I am glad I found Pet Rescue by Judy, and recommend your rescue to everyone who asks. Thanks for your amazing work with our four legged friends! Attached are a few pictures of little Mia. I'm like a crazy mom taking pictures o their child...

Colbie Mae the Sweetie

Brian, Just wanted to drop a quick note that Tesla (formerly Colbie Mae) is doing great. She plays all the time with Calla, the chocolate lab, and reminded Calla what puppyhood is like. Radar, the corgi, actually got into playtime once but usually just watches. We expect soon we will actually catch them snuggling. Thanks for all your help and I will send more soon (she is growing like CRAZY).

Chevelle the Kitten

Thank you so much for the pictures, I will show off and frame a couple! We are doing GREAT!! She is totally at home, in fact since Monday, and leaps and bounds tuesday, it can't get any better. She is soooo loving, always around me, sits on my shoulders, gently paws my face, licks me, loves to be kissed, handled, funny, playful. She is eating well, the best kitty ever, it's almost unbelievable. We are a team, and she LOVED the mouse you gave her, in fact playing with it now. It is clear she came from a very loving home, thanks for all you did for her, I know she is grateful! Sue
