Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
Hey! Here are a few pics of Huckleberry Finn ( Bruce )! We recently went to NC and he got to experience hiking and riding the 4 wheeler on the mountain. The last pic shows him playing with his sister kitty Sweat Pea! He is doing very well!
Bruce, we call him Hank, is doing well. He fit right in. He loves the big yard, even the cat gets along with him! He’s had no accidents. He’s just enjoying himself.
Bodi (aka Brandy) joined our family a few years ago and is an absolute joy. When I first met him, we had just lost our beloved Maxx, so I was just dropping off his belongings for Judy’s dogs - but then I saw Bodi . I thought I could at least foster him, but on the ride home I already was a “foster failure” and nobody was getting this dog but me!! We have since become best buds, and despite his being deaf, Bodi is probably one of the most loving and obedient dogs I ever owned. He quickly learned sign language ( most of which we just made up) and his eyes are never off me as we communicate all day long with signals. All this to say, don’t be afraid to welcome a deaf dog into your home. They have a lot of love to give, and can learn as quickly as any dog. Bodi is proof! So thank you Judy for the work that you do and for talking to me about fostering. I have a feeling though that you knew all along that Bodi had found his forever home.
Just wanted to update you on our little
Bo
. He is doing wonderful. He loves to pester his sister Emmie and he loves running around with her outside. He is definitely not a water dog he hates getting in the pool.
He has been such a happy addition to our family he is so sweet and loves to snuggle.
Thank you so much for the wonderful addition to our family
