Piper is a sensitive little puppy, She looks just like a yellow lab and has cute floppy ears, and is so sweet. She loves to play in the yard, munch on sticks, and wiggle in the grass. She's also happy being inside and following you around. She will  let you hold her for long durations and loves having her tummy rubbed. She has these very round almond eyes and loves giving kisses. She is about 85% potty trained and is coming along nicely. She knows how to use the doggie door, she listens when she is called and comes, she likes to stay close by to you, but is not afraid to explore a little. She plays well with other dogs, running, jumping, playing tug-of-war. Piper drinks water with other dogs and eats with other dogs, but she does get a bit grumpy if another dog tries to walk on her food or take a hard earned treat of hers. if she has one, she will retreat to a corner to enjoy it. She will give it up willingly, and without issue, if you ask for it. This behavior most likely comes from her being one of the smallest in the litter. Piper would do well in a home on her own, or with another dog provided that the other dog is playful and doesn't try to bully her. She is going to make a wonderful addition to any family :)

Piper and her siblings made their way to PRBJ from a high kill shelter.  Unfortunately only the pups made it to the rescue and the shelter had given the mom back to the original owners after they surrendered over the pups.

New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We highly recommend their new family attend puppy training classes. Training classes are the most successful when everyone in the family attends so you all learn about your new puppy.

Please note a fenced backyard is preferred for this baby to romp and safely play
