Description:Foster Update 4/12/12: CC loves to sleep on my bed! It's her favorite spot in the house, but she does enjoy the rest of the house as well. CC is not a lap cat, but does enjoy sitting next to you and receiving lots of pets. She's pretty quiet, but if she hasn't been played with she, like most cats, will play at night. She gets along well with my dogs and my cats. She seems to do better with quiet, mellow cats. CC would do well in a home with kids, or even a home where nobody is home during the day. She doesn't seem to require a lot of attention, but does enjoy the evening with her humans. I am home during the day, but see more of her in the evening.
CC and her kittens were found outside and like many outdoor cats, they had some skin issues. Thankfully, the whole group, including Mama CC, were wonderfully cooperative patients and are now fit as a fiddle and ready to be adopted.
CC was VERY protective of her babies at first, but now that they have been weaned, she's mellowed and has become people-friendly and affectionate. I love the idea of the protective mama cat who does her duty and then gets to spend the rest of her life napping comfortably in a window sill. Come meet our CC and see if you are the right person to give this wonderful girl the home she deserves.
Foster update 12/4:
CC is small (approximately 6 lbs), but mighty! Initially, I was a little worried bringing this little tiny kitty into my home with 3 cats and a dog, but my worries left immediately. I put her into a back room and it only took her about thirty minutes to come and explore. She walked up to my 30 pound dog and started rubbing against her. They immediately became good buddies. The cats were not as receptive, but they were not aggressive towards each other.
CC is very affectionate and does very well with children. My 7-year-old daughter has autism and our cats seem to ignore or run from her because they never know what to expect. Not CC: she is affectionate, jumps on her lap, rubs against her and just loves on my little girl. She seems to love people in general. She's very playful and at times will get a burst of energy and will just streak through the house!
CC's coloring is grey/black/white, but her markings are more of grey and blackswirls with a white bib and underbelly. The coloring is very unique and quite beautiful! CC is so tiny that she looks like a kitten, but she is big on personality. Our family has grown quite attached to CC and would love to see her go to her forever home. She seems as if she could adapt to any circumstance and would be a lovely companion for any age group.
Update: My female cats seem to be ganging up on CC, but she is a fighter and she stands up for herself. The male cat is perfectly fine, as well as, my female dog. CC seems to be an Alpha female and would probably do well with cats that are more willing to follow.
