Description:

FOSTER UPDATE: Sweetness is a very sweet and loving, calm cat. She is not a lap cat but will lay close to us and likes to be petted. She is good with kids but would be better with older kids (teenagers) and she doesn’t get along very well with other cats or dogs, so she may be better without other pets.

Sweetness is a loving cat she loves to give her bear hugs when you hold her. She also loves to get lots of scratches. Sweetness is a little shy at first but when she warms up she is a love bug.

Sweetness and her three babies were found as strays and taken to Pet Rescue by Judy. She is very deserving of her name, seeing as she is the most affectionate cat and is incredibly gentle. She was a magnificent mother and is ready for adoption!

Sweetness is FIV Positive.  However, if you research being FIV positive you will see the cat can live and be with other cats. Additionally, her three babies tested FIV negative and have all been successfully adopted out.

Sweetness is a love.  She is the sweetest little cat ever and even though she was tested positive she can live in a home with another friendly cat.  We have enclosed some information above this regarding FIV, but please google FIV Positive Cats or talk to your veterinarian.  You will not regret adopting this beautiful friendly cat.

I nformation on FIV Transmission:

FIV is NOT easily passed between cats. It cannot be spread casually through litter boxes, food, and water bowls, or snuggling and playing. This disease is transferred when an infected cat bites/scratches another cat and breaks the other cat’s skin. This means that a cat in a home is highly unlikely to infect any other cats as long as they are properly introduced or are not particularly aggressive in nature. FIV is much more difficultly transmitted than people are led to believe, and there is often confusion between FIV and FeLV.
