We are a non-profit organization that only can only exist because of our volunteers.  Some of our volunteers contribute many hours a week; some have only been able to help once.  We love them all!!! 

What do our volunteers do? Everything,of course!  We need people to help at adoption events, photograph animals, transport animals to the vet and groomers, paint, answer phones, walk, cuddle, clean and care!  Sometimes it can get a bit crazy trying to keep track of who's "test driving" a pet around the area, answering questions, completing paperwork.... We hold adoptions every weekend at our Sanford Adoption Center, Petco (Bumby and E. Colonial Drive) and our new Oviedo Marketplace Adoption Center.  We also have special adoption events at different places throughout the year.  Being available for just an hour at one of these events would be appreciated.   Rather than waiting to be asked, we prefer our event volunteers to contact us and let us know if when there is an event they can help at. The minimum age to volunteer at Pet Rescue by Judy is 14 years old.

If you are a driver, your assistance in transporting pets to the groomer's, vet's or other appointments would lift a huge load off of Judy's shoulders.  If you tell her something like, "I can transport pets in the morning of the second Monday of each month," I promise you, you can't imagine the difference it would make for her!!!  All drivers must have a good driving record.

We will happily use any administrative skill you have - paperwork, data entry, phone logs.... And if you're good with a camera, we need help getting photos and videos of our wiggley pets taken and posted on our website. We welcome the handymen and women as well; for there is always something needed to be built, fixed or expanded at our Sanford and Oviedo locations.

Please note that the minimum age to volunteer at Pet Rescue by Judy is 14 years old.  There is a required background check for all adult volunteers and all volunteers, regardless of age, need to purchase and wear a PRBJ t-shirt.
