Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Si the Siamese Kitten

Hi Catherine, Just a quick check-in about Si. We have re-named him Ozzie, and he is just the sweetest little kitty ever! I can't believe he was still there and that no one had adopted him yet. He's sleeping on the desk in front of me so I have to balance the keyboard on my lap. He loves to play with his Cat Dancer toy, but if I'm busy with something, he'll amuse himself with a catnip carrot or a feather toy until I'm done. Buddy is adjusting slowly, so just as a precaution we keep them separated while no one is home, about 2-4 hours a day. Ozzie follows Buddy around sometimes and very much wants to play with him. It seems Buddy is either scared of his intentions or just annoyed, but Ozzie never hisses at Buddy, even when he's getting hissed out. He just backs down and sits there watching Buddy. We just finished up the last of his Albon treatments today, and he seems to be in perfect health. We are totally delighted with him!

Si the Siamese Kitten

Hi Judy and staff,

Just wanted to give you another update on the kitten we adopted from you about 3 1/2 years ago.  His former name was Si the Siamese kitten, but we named him Ozzie.  He has obviously settled in well and is getting along wonderfully with our other cat Buddy.  He’s grown into quite a handsome cat, see attached picture, though he is a bit of a fussy eater.  He’s still very playful but is shy around strangers, and most mornings he gets into bed next to me and starts kneading my neck with his paws.  Needless to say, I always know when he needs his claws trimmed!  Thanks for your hard work in rescuing and homing pets.  We couldn’t be more delighted with Si/Ozzie!!  Blessings, Terry and Mike
