Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Please visit our Success Stories page to read all of our stories!
Arlo

He slept all night in Angelica’s arms on the recliner.
When we came home yesterday for the first time the cat walked over to say hello. Arlo pee’d a bit from fright but now they are gentle friends. Amazing. No barks, hisses or scratching.
He’s a good eater. And three walks have gotten him used to the leash (a bit.) he divides his pee time between outside and on the cool ceramic looking at the ocean.
He seems to love the noise-free quiet of the condo. We are away from “city living” tucked between Ormond Beach and Flagler Beach.
We were told he responds to the name Dillon, so thats it. He will now be called that...but spelled as Dylan. So instead of Arlo Guthrie, its Bob Dylan. Thus keeping him in touch with the 60s musical genius.
Tomorrow is reserved for his first bubble bath and keeping with British tradition we will bath him once a week until he gets used to it.

Arlo

Dylan got to go to the beach!

Arlo

Here’s Dylan ( Arlo ) six months after adoption. What a joyful addition he is to the house. His stage name now is Dillie D.
He is definitely an advanced-level 24/7 type of dog but he is worth every minute we spend loving him. Thankfully he is an expert with pee pads.
He and the cat, Pepino, INSTANTLY bonded. Two fractured souls finding friendship with each other after equally rough starts.
Dillie loves his new world and loves riding in the car the most. Not a fan of thunderstorms but he has found a safe hiding spot inside a bathroom.
He loves bathday too...go figure.
He also loved the taste of Angelica’s wrist and arm for the first three weeks but thankfully he is over that now. He is quick as a cobra with his teeth.
He is a great eater and turns inside out with excitement when its breakfast, lunch or dinner time.
Thanks again for a fantastic companion. Keep up the great work.
