Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Mick the Lab Puppy

Hello Annette, It's been a bit since we last spoke, almost a year I'd say. I'm not sure if you're still working with Judy - I wanted to give you an update on a puppy that you helped to pair with my family. You all knew him by 'Mick', we've changed his name to Maxamillion(Max for short). After our adoption, you suggested that I write a lil blurb about how Max was doing ... I'm sorry it has taken me so long. Max has definitely found a place in all of our hearts. He is a great companion to our eight year old son, they love to 'romp' together. Max's favorite things to do are, playing fetch with a ball or just about anything, laying in the sun, long walks, playing at the doggie park and going for a long run along side his Mommy's bike. He'll do anything for a cookie treat! Including, sitting, giving his paw, laying down and showing you his belly. We're still working on balancing it on his nose ... Max is a loyal friend, he always has love to give. It's great coming home to him after a long day, he greats me with a big smile and a wiggle - he doesn't just wag his tail, his whole body wiggles! Everything happens for a reason, I'm so glad that we found him - thank you! I've attached a couple of pictures. One of his handsome smile, Max with his Christmas present from Santa(a new bed) and the other he was showing Daddy 'belly love'. Sincerely, Christa, Quinton,Logan and Max

Mick the Lab Puppy

My family adopted Mick back in 2008.  We now live in WA with Maxamillion - Maxes to his close family and friends(we renamed him).  Sand was fun, but he loves the snow!
