Sampson the Shepherd Puppy
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help in getting me a puppy of my own. I wanted to give you a recap of what all has happened this weekend. Sampson as he was known to you guys now has a new name of Cash. I figured if he was going to be mine then we both needed a fresh start. As soon as we got back to Jacksonville, Cash, Grandma and I went to Petsmart to grab him a crate and a choke collar at the recommmendation of Judy who by the way every time she said shhhsh, I stopped quicker than Cash did. Anyways after our trip there Cash got thrown into the fire by meeting a bunch of family, including two female dogs one a lab and the other a Golden Whom I use to give attention, so he got to meet plenty of people, we left shortly after that so we could get to our new home and spend some quality time together. Which turned into both of us falling asleep pretty early, but we eventually both had to muster enough energy to make it to the bed.
Saturday turned into a pretty exciting day, we went to a Dog Park right down the street which was huge, it was like Dog Heaven and I am pretty sure Cash saw it that way, he played with all kinds of dogs, got to play in the pond, got to run a ton, he looked so happy, after that I decided to let him get use to the crate so I put him in there so I could run a few errands, but that didnt last too terribly long because I missed the boy. We then watched Florida State play in the Champs Sports Bowl, GO NOLES!!! towards the end of the game Cash got a surprise when my best Friends Ryan and Blair brought over their two dogs, Walker and Mandy, Walker and Cash play all throughout the new Batman Movie and Mandy would watch patiently till one got tired then she would stick her two cents in. So yet again we had a long day and crashed hard.
On Sunday we got up went for a job, then I had to leave for church so he got use to the crate once again. After that we played outside for a while, came back in and took a nap, then we met Ryan and Blair, Walker and Mandy at another Dog Park to celebrate Mandy girls birthday, then it was off to the house for another tired evening. All in all we had a great weekend, ohhh another thing that was amazing. Yesterday at the dog Park I was going to test my skill of the weekend to see if Cash could remember his name and myself. SO when he would run off I would say his name and tell him to come here and what do you know he would come running right back to me, it was awesome, we had a blast and will continue to have a blast.
Sorry for the long-winded email but I wanted to thank you and wanted you to know what a blessing Cash has been to me and my family so far and we look forwad to what is in store for a long time, Thank you, Hope, for helping me and even coming up to meet me the other day, I really appreciate it.

Shelby the Kitten
Hey Stephanie - attached are some pictures of Mela and, as you can see, she is a good fit and is very much a part of our family. I think she believes she is more dog then cat! She loves to hang out on the front lawn or driveway with our dog and watch the neighbors go by. She is amazingly friendly and social cat and loves to be around people. We are having so much fun with her and I can't remember not ever having her around. Thank you again - we are very happy and from the way she parades around here Mela is also very happy.
Have a wonderful holiday season ~
Kathy
Smiley the Puppy
Hello everyone- We have been crazy busy but I wanted to give you an update on "Smiley" who is now named Sage- She was one of the many pups that you guys rescued from the kill shelter in Georgia back in July of 08'. We fostered her and lil' Rascal and ended up falling in love with her! She is the best dog that we have ever had. She rides with my husband in his truck while he is working and loves every second. She is now about 9 months old and is just perfect in everyway. She only had 2 accidents in our house her whole puppyhood and is best friends with our 2 other dogs. She LOVES to chase squirrles around our big oak trees in the backyard and lay in the sun. Our 2 year old twins just adore her and the feeling is mutual she loves to follow them around everywhere it almost seems like she is making sure they don't get into too much trouble! She is definitley a great addition to our family. We just wanted to thank-you for everything you do and when things calm down a bit for us we will be contacting you guys so we can help to foster again.
Love always
Kacey, Matthew, Ben, Peyton
and the dogs~ Maxx, Lola and SAGE!
Slick the Spotted Kitten
Hi Kaily,
Slick (we renamed him Louie) is doing great. A few issues with the scratching/tearing up of my wall to wall carpet but other than that no problems at all. He has a couple of scratching posts but it's to be expected I guess. He is quite the character. He thinks he's a dog…follows us everywhere, snuggles up whenever he can. Sleeps with us.
We are actually thinking about fostering. I sent a foster application and got word back to go to Sanford. We are looking to foster another cat or even possibly a dog but the dog would have to wait until after the holidays due to holiday travel.
I'll send you pics of Louie as soon as I can. Thank you!
