Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Shelby the Hemingway

Muffin and Shelby are doing well. They are adjusting very well. Shelby loves to play with the male kitty (Smokey). We have a long hallway in our home and they play runway kitties everyday, it is too funny. Muffin is well too. She found my basket by the sliding glass door her favorite spot. She has a nice little blanket in there and she loves to watch the squirrels and birds. We also have a sliding glass door in dining room and when she gets excited she runs from door to door. She is so sweet. My yorkies are getting along well with both of them. Muffin likes to try and clean the male yorkie while he is sleeping, he tolerates it well. The female yorkie is hyper and alpha all the way. When she comes in from outside in the morning, both Shelby and Smokey hit her on the bottom as she comes in, very entertaining. We are so pleased to have them both join our family! I can not tell you how happy they seem and how happy we are to have them. You all are saints with PRBJ! God Bless you all!

Sneezy the Disney 7 Dwarf Hound Puppy

Hi Pet Rescue by Judy- We wanted to give you an update on our little Buddy (aka Sneezy). He is getting bigger everytime we turn around. He loves attending his training classes. He has been through puppy training and agility/obendiance training. It is amazing to see the confidence that he has gained. Buddy loves the interaction and the physical activity. We have a nick name for Buddy which is Buddy Love because he loves to be loved and we love to love on him. The funniest thing about Buddy is when he gets excited he starts howling. It's his way of communicating with us. We laugh so hard each time. We hope you enjoy the pictures. Until our next update-Brian, Dawn and Buddy

Sadie the Petite

Hi Judy..It was wonderful to see you at Petoberfest yesterday in Deland. Jessi, a.k.a. Sadie the Petite, certainly looks a lot better than she did two and a half years ago when I adopted her from you. She has healed well from her extensive injuries. She has gone from being a frightened, submissive dog to become an outgoing, loving girl. She loves to attend social events so we hope to see you at the reunion next week. Your efforts at placing unwanted and abandoned dogs is truly incredible. Thank you for all that you, your staff and the volunteers do to assist the animals of central Florida. Jeanne

Siku the dog loving Kitten

she is so great. Hard to believe she has only been here a little over a week. She is playing with the other kittens now but loves to rub up against the dogs! She is defiantly been a great addition to our family. I took some more pics, will send them to you later today. Thank you for the pics your husband sent me of her as well. Thank you again for making our family complete.

Sprocket the Boxer Beagle
Sprocket the Boxer Beagle

Just wanted to drop you an e-mail letting you know that Sam is doing really well! He's gotten into a routine and loves his 3 walks a day! I took him to the vet right next door and all the staff fell in love with him! (he got quite a few treats that day!) He has become very protective of Hannah...he even follows us and sits next to her bed when we are tucking her in for the night. We have found out that he is not an Elmo fan...Hannah has a talking Elmo and every time she brings it out to play with Sam goes nuts barking at it! It's funny to see this big dog barking at a tiny Elmo! He did get a little fussy on us with the dry food, so we caved and now mix it with just a little pedigree wet food...now he gobbles it! I hope you are doing well! I'll send some pictures soon! He has some favorite toys that we have taken pictures of him sleeping with!!
