Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Si the Siamese Kitten

Hi Catherine, Just a quick check-in about Si. We have re-named him Ozzie, and he is just the sweetest little kitty ever! I can't believe he was still there and that no one had adopted him yet. He's sleeping on the desk in front of me so I have to balance the keyboard on my lap. He loves to play with his Cat Dancer toy, but if I'm busy with something, he'll amuse himself with a catnip carrot or a feather toy until I'm done. Buddy is adjusting slowly, so just as a precaution we keep them separated while no one is home, about 2-4 hours a day. Ozzie follows Buddy around sometimes and very much wants to play with him. It seems Buddy is either scared of his intentions or just annoyed, but Ozzie never hisses at Buddy, even when he's getting hissed out. He just backs down and sits there watching Buddy. We just finished up the last of his Albon treatments today, and he seems to be in perfect health. We are totally delighted with him!

Simon the Tabby Boy

I picked up a cat on Saturday from Judy. His name is Simon. Simon is doing great. My wife had a hard time understanding why the other cat did not home, but she quickly took to Simon. She loves him!! He is a character. He has a great home!!

Setsuna the Black Lab Puppy
Setsuna the Black Lab Puppy

Hi Lauren! Setsuna is doing great! We renamed her Caity and she is responding to it very well. She has been to the Vet and everything is fine. She has gone to the dog park daily and loves running and playing with the other dogs. Caity also likes to ride in the golf cart. She has met the neighbors and they just love her. I took her over to the farm to visit my goats and our horse. She loves her new bed and toys. She is so good with everything and she has filled our hearts with joy. Thank you for allowing us to be her parents. I will send pictures soon. ( I tried to add pictures - don't know if it worked) Sincerely, Linda

Shelby the Happy Lab
Shelby the Happy Lab

Lauren, Shelby is so sweet. She is fitting into our family just fine. She loves our big back yard and we have fun playing ball with her. She is well behaved but still very interested in everything. We have stared her on our daily walk. She does the 1,37 mile but is tired when we are done. Hope she will be able to do the entire walk once she gets used to the schedule. She makes us Happy and we are happy to have a dog back in our family. Jim and Diane

Sydney the Chocolate Point Siamese Kitten

Hi Judy, Just thought we would share these two cute pictures of Sydney and London from this morning. We are enjoying them so much, lots and lots of toys are all over the house.
