Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Spanky
Spanky

Thank you sooo much. Spanky ( Sparky is his new name) is doing fine. He is getting more love than he expected. We took him to the vet and he checked out ok. Thanks again for bringing Sparky into our lives Carmen

Spec

Just wanted to let you know that all is going well with "Toby", his new name. No accidents with Pee Pee or Poopees. Toby is using Gina's kennel. Toby and Gina play very well together.

Shirley Temple the Shepherd Mamma

Dear Ms. Judy and all my friends at PRBJ: Last year, I was sick after having four puppies and came to you just in time. You named me Shirley Temple the Shepherd Mamma. Here was my page on your website: http://www.petrescuebyjudy.com/animals/detail?AnimalID=5419549#prettyPhoto I was on my way out the door to go to foster care when my mommy and my daddy walked in to PRBJ. My daddy was very, very sad, so to cheer him up, I jumped in his arms and then laid at his feet. That must have made him happy, because I saw my mommy crying and signing some things, and then they put me in their car. That was the greatest day of my LIFE!!! My daddy takes me for walks every night, we all go camping and to the beach on weekends, and (best of all) I get to dream about chasing lizards on a sweet sleep number bed every night, which sure beats pavement! I just wanted to let you know how happy my whole family is that we met that day. My parents call me Ripley (I guess I'm named after a brave hottie in a movie called "Aliens"). Love to all, Ripley (P.S. Here are a couple pictures of me now ,enjoying the good life: one is of me and my mom on Flagler Beach at Christmas, and the other is me and my dad on a camping trip to Lake Griffin State Park last Labor Day.)

Sweetheart the Adorable Lab puppy

Just wanted you guys to know Sweetheart (Honey to us) is doing great. She had her last round of shots last Friday and is weighing in at a whopping 22lbs (when we got her she was barely 12 lbs). She is finding that those little nooks and crannies she liked to curl up in are not big enough for her. The vet said that by her next visit, in a month, she should be around 40lbs +/- and twice the height. She is growing up so fast. Thank you again, she has become a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you, Royce

Sami Jo

Sammi Jo is settling in very well. When we go to Fleet Peeples Park she is a perfect little lady. Her and Zack get along fine and even share the oversized dog bed at times. We were at Fleet's for about two hours yesterday. Sammi was playing with a black Pom and was having the time of her life! She came home exhausted. ~lol~ I took a couple of pictures of her last night. I wonder if Animal Control got Zack's age wrong??? She is so much more active than he is and he is supposedly 2 years younger. I included a picture of Zack when I adopted him back in Dec. 2013. Thanks again for all your help, ~Lisa~
