Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Rona the Puppy

Hi Melanie, Where do I start about Rona? First, she is the sweetest girl. She just loves spending time with all of us and she loves being around you. No matter what you are doing she loves doing it with you. Her and Nikko are getting along great and love chasing each other around in the back yard. She does test him at times but she is getting better with that. She LOVES chasing lizards and I am sorry to say that she killed her first one since she has been with us. :-( She is just as spoiled as her big brother with toys. She did claim some of Nikko's old toys that he no longer played with and he was totally fine with that. She does know how to give you that sad puppy look when she wants something but we have learned to not give in to her cuteness (well not all the time...lol) As you know from our application that we have cats and she is really curious about them. They have excepted her and she is getting better with them. She more barks at them because she doesn't know what they are. It is actually cute. I absolutely love taking pictures of her and I have attached several that I would have to say are my favorite. She has adjusted well to being here and everyone just loves her. I am really surprised that she did not get adopted before us because she is just the sweetest and greatest dog and again we all absolutely adore her. We love her big floppy ears also. Thank You for all your help through the process of adopting her. We would refer anyone that is looking to adopt or get another dog to Pet Rescue by Judy. Your organization does a great job and we are so glad that we went to the mall that day and saw Rona. Also, as you can probably tell already we decided that we were going to keep her name as Rona. We felt that it was different and the only other name that we came up with was Abbey but I think that Rona fits her. :-) Thanks, Kathleen

Rachel the UCF Pointer Puppy

Hi Yvette, Attached are two photos that best describe our first few hours with Rachel. What a well adjusted little puppy. She doesn’t have any personality issues that shelter dogs come with (fear, aggressiveness, etc.) She is such a joy. She enjoys having a big brother and he really hasn’t stop smiling since we picked her up. We will definitely keep you posted and please give our regards to her foster family. Sincerely, Keith

Roxy the Loving Beagle

I volunteer at PRBJ. We adopted these guys together from PRBJ and I know you like to post success story pictures. Here's pics of them on "their" couch. Barney loves his little lamb and grooms it constantly! Regards John

Rowdy the Davis Rat Terrier Puppy

Just a quick note to give you guys an update on our sweet pups! Bella and Rowdy have fit in so well with our family! The kids are really taking to them and vice versa with the pups! Bella and Rowdy have adjusted well to our busy household. The kids love to take them everywhere we go, they really enjoy showing them off. Rowdy is almost totally housetrained and Bella was already housetrained. Bella has recovered well from the pneumonia and all her blood counts are back to normal. She is so laidback and enjoys our snuggle time. Rowdy is coming into his own and is a climber! It's so funny when he gets excited while playing he can scale most anything in seconds...even a tall kitchen chair! The have the run of the house and are so well behaved. I have enclosed a few pictures of Bella's x-rays and a picture of the kids. You can see little BB's and a Pellet as well as her microchip in the films...So heartbreaking to see what she went through. But it makes me even more thankful for finding them and giving them the life they so deserve. Thank you all again for opening your hearts and lives to these so deserving animals and for allowing us to be Bella and Rowdy's new family! Shane, Sarah, Peyton, Blaine, and Morgan
