Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Hello everyone at Petrescuebyjudy, Here are two photos of Pantira in her new home. She seems to be settling in very nicely and is becoming acqainted with her new kitty brother and sisters. As you can see from her photos, Pantira is becoming quite accustomed to sleeping on pillows! She is a very sweet little girl!!! God bless each and every one of you, each and every creature under your care, Phil Ligrani Mariette McArdle and the cats - Max and Sally

Patriotic the Puppy
Patriotic the Puppy

Just thought you might like to see how “Veteran” aka Woody looks like these days. This past Sunday he and his brother, Dylan, (‘Patriotic’) turned 5 months old! They are great dogs, great, great pets, and wonderful brothers & buddies to one another. No fighting between them at all – only “play fights.” They are the most loving, playful, funny and outgoing dogs imaginable! Woody (‘Veteran’) now weighs about 40 lbs (he will be a big boy) and Dylan ( ‘the runt of the liter’) weighs about 32 lbs – still smaller but he holds his own with Woody in their wrestling matches. We think they are beautiful and so do all who meet them. They are also so very sweet to all dogs, children and people they meet. They are also both very, very smart! They love everything and now they are really enjoying the cooler weather! They go on two long walks everyday with my wife and have a huge back yard to play in. Obviously, we love them! ~Aaron and Donna R.

Possum the Puppy
Possum the Puppy

We have enjoyed our two weeks with our new puppy, Rascal. My daughter decided to change Possum's name to Rascal. So Rascal is doing very well and we had our first visit to the Vet last Sat. As of Sat he weighed 16.4 lbs already!! I'm sure by the next visit he will be over 20lbs easily. He is such a riot to play with and has such a great personality. He is very smart and has already learned sit, ly down and come here when we walk. Please thank Jessica, the foster mom, for her advice and information regarding his demeanor. And maybe forward this picture to her as well. I have attached a recent picture of my daughter, Payton and Rascal on one of our many car rides. Thanks again for everything.

Ping the Puggle

I adopted Ping the Puggle, a 2 month old little girl. Her name is now Molly. I want to thank you for the wonderful experience I had in adopting her. The staff was very caring and professional. Molly has grown alot in the past 2 weeks. She is a blessing in my life. Thank you. ~ Lori Hall

Petey the Pekingese Shepherd
Petey the Pekingese Shepherd

Colleen, Thank you for your assistance in placing Petey with my mother-in-law, Betty Shanks. He settled right in today, and gets along wonderfully with the whole family and our little rat terrier, Billy. I've attached some pictures of him in his new home, where he is definately being loved. Please give a special thank you to Jess, she was great. :-) Gail Mertz
