Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

First day home already at the beach for a little fun in the sun.

Pippa the Old English Sheep Dog

Hello! Thought you all would enjoy these. Pippa is doing great! Such a sweet girl with a great sense of humor. Physically she’s doing well. She loves a good run around the block 3-4 days a week and has suckered us all into the belief that the back yard is not an adequate space for the bathroom which results in several walks a day:). Although we finally gave up on “heel” she has been surprisingly easy to train in all other aspects. Everyone was extremely impressed that there was a low lying unsupervised table full of food at Thanksgiving and although she was eyeing it she didn’t touch a morsel. When she first arrived anything was game so this is a huge improvement. She’s a great girl. Extremely loyal to our family and a joy to everyone that visits-we are blessed! Hope all is well! Jen PS-the kids could pick any theme for their valentine boxes this year…….

Princess the Retriever Puppy

Thank you for this wonderful gift. ..she is a life saver. You guys are my lifesavers. Thank you for all you do. God bless you all!!!!

Princess the Min Pin

Here is my ham! Lol. She is my entire world! She makes my life happier & I do everything to make hers the very happiest! She's recently developed health issues. She's about 8 now. When I adopted her, she had a periodic cough. It's worsened over the years. We've seen vets & specialists in Maitland. She's had X-rays, cardiogram echos, & plenty of medical attention! Thankfully, this past Monday the specialist in Maitland at AVS said her heart is fine. She has an intermittent murmur, but nothing they are concerned about. She has a slight collapse in her trach & we treat it with Lomotil 2x a day. She also had chronic bronchitis. She is monitored regularly & and any sign of sickness is treated with antibiotics because she is high risk for pneumonia. This year we spend several weekends at the emergency vet in Orlando as well. Overall, she is active, happy, & truly a blessing! She doesn't miss a beat! lol. I can't & refuse to imagine life without her.
