Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Portia
Portia

We want to tell you Porter and Portcia are absolutely a delight. We are having so much with them. The first day we got home around 4:45 and they played hard till 8:30 that night. Put them in their house/cage with a soft thick blanket and slept all night till 5:00 when we got up. No mess in the their house. My neighbor brought us a enclosed fence which is about 15' in diameter. They just loved it. The goats and our renters dog could see them and they could adjust to each other. What a great idea. Then we explored by taking them out with no leash. They both went potty and once they were done we called them and they came. Of course cause they get a small milk bone. Spoiled already. My husband has a recliner and don't even think about sitting in it. Well Porter, and Portcia got up in his chair and fell a sleep. Not to funny as my husband Harry said I guess I'll sit on the couch. We can't thank you enough. The house now feels like home again. As we always had dogs and every dog we owned lived from 14 to 18 years. Just to let you know that our neighbor bought over $20.00 of toys and also had to come play with them today. My renter above the barn also brought a cage in the barn so we can put Porter, and Portcia in the cage to see what goes on with the horses and when we feed the goats. Thank you from all of us. Cheri, Harry, Porter, Portcia, and Baby (the cat)

Pandora

Hi Kelly, Pandora is doing great with us her first week. She has learned several commands: sit, down, off, come and walks well on her leash. I also have her running with my bicycle on a springer, she is very fast. As you can see fro the attached pictures she has made herself at home. We love her and she fits us.

Pebbles

Hi!  Thank you so much for the congrats!  We renamed Pebbles to "Missy Elliott."  Missy is doing fantastic!  She has been enjoying many dog parks and is one spoiled pet (we need to start a basket for the amount of toys she has)!  She is definitely a water dog, loves to play fetch, and is proving herself to be true to her hound instincts in that she likes to "test" her owners when it comes to commands like "come", "sit", and "off"...but we are staying consistent, and she is progressing every day!  Her first vet check-up was today..she is very healthy, and the whole staff was in a tizzy over how beautiful she is!  Missy seems to turn heads everywhere she goes ha!  I've attached some pictures below!

Thank you for all your help with this process!  We are in love with our Missy moo!
