Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Max the Bulldog
Max the Bulldog

Hi Judy!! We adopted from you just over 1 year ago. Our puppy's name was Max when we adopted him, we renamed him Kobi. (my parents dog is named Max, we thought It would be too confusing) Anyhow we wanted to send you an email with some pictures and an update and a BIG THANK YOU!!!! We absolutely LOVE Kobi and are so proud to have him as a member of our family. A few months after we adopted Kobi we took him to a 5 week training course through our Vet. Kobi loved it and has learned SO much and even remembered a lot too! We have thought of coming by to see you at Pets Mart on Saturday mornings but we know how busy you get so we have stayed away. (We also have stayed away because I know I would be WAY too tempted to get another dog) Anyhow, attached are 2 pictures. One is from the first day we took Kob home and the other is a recent picture of him. He just turned one on February 17th and he's a big boy! 50 lbs to be exact. Much bigger then the 17lbs he was when we adopted him. We wanted you to know he is doing WONDERFUL and we are grateful everyday you let us have him through your wonderful program. 2 big supporters here for Pet Rescue by Judy and 1 little 4 legged supporter as well. KEEP UP THE WONDERFUL WORK!!! God's BIG Blessings, Chad & Meridith S.

Melody
Melody

Hello! I just wanted to give you an update on Melody the Hound/Pointer mix. We changed her name to Mia which she seems to really like! She has been such a blessing and wonderful addition to our family. She loves to go on long walks and make friends with all the other dogs in the neighborhood. She is very friendly and although she loves to chase squirrels and birds she wouldn't hurt a fly. She loves to be near us and follows us around the house so she doesn't miss anything. The porch is her favorite place to be and shows the real hound dog come out in her because she loves to watch out to see what's going on. We love our Mia and are so happy to have her in our lives! ~ Mandy and Parker

Mai Ling
Mai Ling

Mai Ling/Molly continues to do great! You should have seen her with bows on her ears after she was groomed — she was PRECIOUS! (By the time I got my camera they were mostly out, of course!) Madeline and Sophie constantly say getting her was the BEST thing ever, and they actually thank us! She is such a wonderful friend to them — she doesn’t even seem to mind being carried around, wearing baby clothes or getting in the doll stroller! She sure is a cuddler (when she slows down) which we ALL love! She and Max have so much fun PLAYING — they spend their days following each other and running around in circles chasing each other and wrestling (and occasionally napping.) She isn’t as innocent as she looks when she’s sleeping, tho, that’s for sure! ;) No shrinking violet here! She’s the instigator when she and Max play…She’ll raise up on her hind legs, and when Max goes up…she ducks down…and nips at his ankles. And she has created her share of mischief — tipping trash, gathering socks, chewing the corner off a brand new wooden drawer, and getting up on the kitchen table when she thinks no-one is watching to see what crumbs she can find. She has such a sweet spirit tho it’s hard not to laugh that such a tiny thing can make herself SEEM so much bigger. We love Molly dearly — thank you again for bringing us together! Sincerely, Susan, Mitch, Madeline, Sophie, Max & Molly

Mika
Mika

We adopted Mika on Dec. 21st. 2007 and fell I love with her the moment we saw her. She has been a wonderful addition to our family and we don't know what we ever did without her. She loves being the center of attention and is always a warm welcome when we come home from work. She definately has some beagle in her because she loves going outside and sniffing out squirels. She loves to go for walks at the park in Maitland and has lost some of that weight she needed to lose when we adopted her. We couldn't be luckier and are happy to give her a safe and loving home. Thanks ~ always, Aaron and Lindsey

Moses
Moses

Dear Judy and staff; Moses and Maya here. We wanted to give you an update on how we are doing in our new forever home. Our new pop takes us for long walks 2 or 3 times a day. There are lots of dogs in the neighborhood. We all get along very well. The humans make a lot over us! We even got xmass gifts from some of them. Our new parents have a son? who stops by every two or three daysafter work. He bangs on the backdoor to see if we will bark! Oh boy! Do we ever bark! We run and jump and scramble all around the familyroom. We roll on the floor, kiss everybody, chase toys, and just have a ball! When he goes home we flop on the cool tile floor and snooze! At bedtime we have a snack and take our last night time walk. Then we both get into our new soft crate togather to sleep.??? Thanks to all of you that helped us find a new forever home togather! Everyone here is really happy with the adoption! Our new pop says he will try to send some pictures!
