Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Matilda the Kitten

Catherine, Hiyas...Just wanted to drop you and Kieth a few lines to let you know that the two are doing wonderful. They are eating, drinking, peeing and pooping already in their new home...lol. The two are super affectionate and chirping to us. Both are giving us kisses and lots of sugar...especially Kaiden. Matilda is just simply a love bug :) I will take a few photos Thursday evening and send them over. Take care and will talk to you soon, Bill & Mel

Mystique the Exotic Beauty
Mystique the Exotic Beauty

Hi Catherine, I just wanted to share my success story with Mystique (Paris) Paris (formerly Mystique) is wonderful- she's become the queen of the house! She's so sweet and greets me at the door whenever I come home, and then rolls around waiting for a belly rub. Friends questioned why I didn't adopt a kitten (Paris is almost 8 years old), but I'm so glad I chose an adult cat. She's independent, quiet, and never scratches my furniture- she only uses the scratching post. She just wants to sit next me on the couch or in bed and be pet, and occassionally she wants to run around the house and play, and she is perfectly happy with that! I've attached a picture as well.

Monopoly the Pup
Monopoly the Pup

Everyday she becomes more sure of her surroundings, and more of her personality comes through. Shes very friendly and loving. She sleeps almost the whole night through now and is mostly potty trained MOSTLY still pees on the rug at the end of the bed, luckily puppies only pee alittle. in a few more days we'll have that fix too. and i'll get the rug cleaned, but for now resolve and arm and hammer carpet fresh will be fine . But rest easy Bobbie; Abbey is loved and happy as are we with her I'll keep you up to date. I'll have to send a video of when I come home from work or my wife, I've never seen a dog get so excited and happy, cutest bthing you ever saw Thanks again Dan

Miss Sandy the Hound Mix
Miss Sandy the Hound Mix

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Just been a bit busy. Sandy is doing Great!!! We took her to the vet yesterday, for a quick check up and to get her a years supply of Heartworm medicine (Interceptor). Dr. Suero said she is healthy as can be... no issues!!! Just needs to put a little weight on, which we are working on. She's doing very well with our 2 little ones. and really seems "content" with her new home. Our son came over for Mother's day with his 11 1/2 month old daughter, and Sandy was sooo good with her. She knew to be gentle with her. She was curious about this little crawler, but she would always approach cautiously. To say my husband and I are thrilled, is putting it mildly. She is a great addition to our family. You can let Judy know that I ordered 2 Kuranda beds today through the link on your web page. They should be shipped in the next few days. Thanks again for your help... we are happy campers!!! We will definitely give PRBJ a great review!! Pat

Mimi the Chihuahua/ Yorkie Mix
Mimi the Chihuahua/ Yorkie Mix

Hi Wendy! Mimi is doing great! It took the two dogs a few weeks to adjust (Mimi is definitely the Alpha), but now they play together and chase the cat around the house together (poor Kitty)! Most mornings all three will climb in bed with me and I love it! She did take to Jenna instead of me, but I am a very close second and still get lots of lap time if Jenna is not around, and sometimes even if she is. For almost a week we didn’t think she could bark because she never did and then suddenly out of the blue she barked at something one day – we all were shocked! She still does not bark a lot, which is fine with me, especially since Coco barks at EVERYTHING! She is just sweet, sweet, sweet and has settled in very well.
