Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Minou the Sweet Kitten

Hi Jillian - Of course we remember you. Minou and Bijoux are doing great. Both have settled in at 16.5 pounds so they ended up being BIG boys. I have go say, these cats are among the sweetest we have ever had. They are really a please to have around. Bijoux has turned out to be very curious and full of energy. He talks to us all the time. I call him my "race cat" because of the way he dashes around the house. He also plays a great game of catch with his treats. One paw is all it takes to grab the treat out of the air. Minou is the surprising one. He's more laid back but has a real fun side to him. He'll go from snuggling to wanting to play fetch with a toy instantly. He's also very smart and brave! Just this weekend I walked past my back door to find him pulling the door handle and almost letting himself out. Not good. We now keep that door locked. Overall… bringing them home was a great idea. Thanks for taking such good care of them as their foster Mom. They arrived at our home well behaved and well loved. If you would like to visit them sometime, just shoot me a note. We would be happy to have you over. Scott

Mercy the Mini Terrier/Dachshund
Mercy the Mini Terrier/Dachshund

Yvette, It has been a BUSY day for all and Mercy has had an extra busy day investigating his new home. He did well on his trip home in the car and we have taken several mini walks sniffing out the new street he lives on. He already has had a few visitors saying how cute he is. He enjoyed some freedom walking around our pool deck and peeking over the edge of our pool, but being very careful. He did eat his dinner a little at a time until it was all gone and a couple small treats tucked into a toy this evening. Right now he is stretched out on the carpet in our family room and I think is ready to rest for today. Hopefully he will sleep well tonight. He has already brought joy into our family. Thanks so much for helping with the adoption, I will remember to stay in touch and as soon as I get some available time I will be in touch with Judy. I had hoped to find a dog through Judy's Pet Rescue and so glad we found Mercy at the right time and no one else found him first. Cheryl and Mitch

Murphy the Lab/Hound Puppy

He is beyond precious! My girls are completely in love. We will def keep you updated. Thank you.

Maria Hill The Avengers Puppy

Pups still happy, healthy, and outsmarting us at every turn. I am so glad we kept them together. They are absolutely best friends. They have started filling out and are at 62 lbs. each. They make quite an impression when we go for walks. I call it our “Westminster Walk” because they really walk beautifully on a leash. Everyone in the neighborhood stops to admire them. They have had no health problems. We had a trainer come to the house and watch their behavior and help us be better partners. She came down every 2 weeks, and the pups learned very quickly. Depending on who the company is, the pups stay out and are perfectly well-behaved. We went to Europe for 3 weeks in May and our neighbors took care of the 3 dogs and 7 cats. They got so attached to the pups, now they come over for “visitation” and cocktails! Everybody loves the girls as much as we do. Barb

Mario the Snuggle Buddy (Video) Cat

Hi Judy! Just another update... Mario is doing very well. He and my younger cat make very good friends and he doesn't harass my older cat. He is quite the gentleman... loves to hide in the most amazing places and he sleeps on the bed or in the clothes drawer in the bedroom... or in a cabinet. He is well adjusted and much loved.
