Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Hoops the Boxer Bulldog

Dash (Hoops) has been enjoying his new life with us over here in Clearwater!! He loves car rides, our 30 minute jog every morning and most of all his sleep!!! Thank you so much for doing what you do!!!! XOXOXO Michelle, Danny, Grayson and Dash (Hoops)

Horatio the Sailor Kitten

The boys are doing great! They are more comfortable and curious everyday. Louie likes Arianna's pillow and sleeps by her head most nights. There's a basket he fancies on Serena's bed too. Horatio sleeps in a new place every day. Last night it was on my feet! Haha. Horatio tolerates Arianna carrying him all over. They snuggle all the time. It's so cute. Louie likes to wake Todd an I up around 6:30 by biting our noses. The girls feed them, clean their box after EVERY use! The boys have gotten use to Howie too and are no longer scared of him. They even sniff noses on occasion. What a delight it's been heaving them in out family. I hope you're having a nice trip. :) Sent from my iPhone

Hotdiggity the Dachshund

We LOVE this dog !! He is just perfect for us. ! Thank you thank you thank you ! Trying to send pictures. ~ Chuck and Melodie.

Herekitty the Bengal Mix

I've often heard that cat parents hesitate getting another cat because they are afraid that their current cat may not get along with a new member of the house. My ten year old Frodo was spoiled as an only cat for several years. I adopted, anyway, a rescue from Pet Rescue by Judy. I prepared Frodo for a new sister, as if he could understand my verbal explanation, but I was still unsure if he would adjust to sharing his home. His new sister was an abandoned stray and not used to other cats or kittens (other than her own). As you can see from this photo, there was no need to worry.

Harvey the Big Jack

5-12-13 Hi Kelly, Well it's been a pretty busy day. I was at the Center at 10 today We spent a lot of time with the dogs getting to meet each other, and I decided to bring Harvey home. He has been such a good boy all day. Both dogs are worn out now. Max is so happy to have another dog here again. He likes Harvey a lot. I thought you would like to see this photo. They both look like happy boys. Thank you for your help. I also went back to the mall to get my phone. So glad it was there! There are so many nice things about Harvey. He really listens well and is very responsive. We're working on learning to stay off the furniture. It's not fair to Max who is not allowed to get up. I borrowed a kennel cage from my neighbor, but Harvey doesn't seem to like it very much. But I put him in there if I need to be away, at least for a while. I finally realized that Harvey reminds me of Piglet from Winnie the Pooh! So cute. I'll try and keep in touch occasionally about how Harvey is doing. Thanks for doing the work you do to help the animals.
