Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Flash the Border Collie
Flash the Border Collie

I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone involved in Flash's rescue and recovery. I have heard incredible things about Pet Rescue by Judy since I moved here and everything I heard held true. Flash is lucky to have found you and we, in turn, are lucky to have found him. Although it'll take the kitties some time to adjust I just know that Flash will bring all of us so much joy and laughter in the years to come. You should have seen him commandeer Uncle Dave's driver's seat when he left our home- he's a funny pup! I promise to keep all of you updated on his progress. His new daddy Ken is a photographer so expect some great pictures of Flash to come! I think he's going to quickly become daddy's favorite subject =) And my mother just can't wait to start spoiling her Grand-dog! I feel like a simple "thank you" doesn't quite embody just how much all the work you do is truly appreciated. Although Flash can't say it himself I'm sure he would shower all of you with his special doggy kisses as his own way of saying "thank you". He will be loved and adored for the rest of his days. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! Erica

Fraiser the Bichon
Fraiser the Bichon

Hi Joyce -- Charlie (formerly called Frazier) has been with us a little over a week and has settled in as a wonderful member of our family. The time he spent with you was invaluable, because he couldn't be more adorable and well adjusted. He seems totally committed to us now and makes sure he is close to us and ready to defend us at the slightest sound of a door closing or someone walking their dog. His hearing is acute. He never makes a sound except for one quick bark which gets our attention when necessary. Dr. Cohen was pleased with our new little fellow and he, too, thinks we are a perfect match. After examining him he said he is generally strong and considering his obvious disabilities is doing very well. With all of the love that is mutually felt between us, he will thrive. Thank you so much for selecting us. He is eating well, sleeping well, and generally enjoying his new home. We will continue the medications and diet Dr. Cohen has prescribed for him and see that he has regular checkups. With best wishes for your continued success, Don and Barbara Brown

Furbert the Golden Retriever Puppy
Furbert the Golden Retriever Puppy

Just wanted to give you an update...Ginger has accepted Furbert completely... They play like old friends and have even been spotted playing kissey face. He’s eating VERY well...you forgot to mention his LOVE of food!!! He sleeps with our son Jake in the beginning of the night and with me later on. I had him with me while trying to sell some junk at our community garage sale, and I think he’s the reason 1/2 the people stopped. And in true Furb style...he greeted each one with a tail wag, and a nice dog kiss if they got too close. Don’t know if you were working with him, but he’s pretty much got sit, we’re very close on down, he’s almost got his name, but comes if you make eye contact and say come. He’s VERY smart...can see the need for some baby proofing in the house. He’s only had 3 accidents and I think that’s because we haven’t fully recognized his signal that he needs to go out. I have a few pictures on the camera and on the cell phone I will forward when I can get them off...just wanted you to know...he is LOVED SO MUCH!!! Thank you again... Tim, Tiffany, Jake, and Katie W. Ginger and Furbert too! (Seymour and Swirly, the cats say yeah...thanks...now we’ll never gain any fat! They chase us too much!)

Here are our two adopted kitties, Flynn and Buttercup (formerly Junebug). They are wonderful additions to our family! Judy and staff, thanks for all you do! You are truly making a difference in our community. God Bless, The Hardee Family

Frodo
Frodo

I just wanted to update you on Frodo's progress. Since we adpoted him in May, he has settled in really well and is a happy, loving member of the family. He had to have a second treatment for heartworm which caused us a lot of worry but has successfully overcome his illness and has been given the all clear! We renamed him JoJo and he is now well enough to go to the dog parks and run about like any normal 4 year old! He has also put on weight and is admired where ever we go! - Sam W.
