Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Ellie Mae the Siamese Kitten

Dear Judy, My wife and I adopted two of your cats, Ava and Ellie, two years ago and picked them up at the Oviedo Mall. They are wonderful and are doing well. Pictures attached. I now have three cats inside and am taking care of another outside. We are crazy about all of our babies and thank you and Bonnie for the foster care.

Evelyn the Puppy

As for Khloe, she is doing just incredible. She is somewhere around 55 lbs and is happy all the time. The picture below is of something that she taught herself to do. She will carry one tennis ball and kick around the other for 15+ minutes, until it lays in just the right spot for her to pick it up. And as full of energy as she is, she sure loves to sleep. Eddie the Hound Puppy

Hi Lauren, Eddie is a very good boy. He gets along real well with our Tramper. They are inseparable. Turns out they are both the same age give a day or too. Sunday through Friday 1. We do long walks in the morning. Does real good with easy collar. 2. An hour of supervised running, chasing and ball catching in main yard. (about 1 acre) 3. Long walk at 6pm 4. Another hour of play afterward Saturdays we go to the Fleet Peeples Park in Winter Park where they run, swim & play with other dogs for about 3 hours. They usually sleep the rest of the afternoon. Eddie is an extremely smart boy. He can open the front door and run outside. (we have to keep deadbolt on now) Can open the refrigerator. ( we had to put a child lock on it) Can jump the fence in the main yard and Tramper climbs up and over after him. (that's why the supervision) They stay in the house while we are gone but can access the pool/patio and courtyard. Courtyard is about a 2,500 sq foot area they can run around and do their "business". We had to modify the courtyard to a 6 foot fence with coyote rollers at the top to foil their plans of roaming the neighborhood. We are very happy to have adopted Eddie. He is a great, sweet and charming boy. He enjoys his homemade roasted chicken, carrots, cauliflower and brocolli. Sincerely, Joel

Esme the Puppy

Hi Melanie, I hope that you are doing well! Below is a picture of Khloe (Evelyn) and Remi (Esme) at their first reunion. At first they were a little nervous around each other but ran around and buddied up in no time. We plan to get them together at least once a month. I thought that this could me a great photo for the website? Khloe is doing great. She weighs about 35 now and we expect her to get to 40 lbs or so. Her sister Remi is about 3 lbs heavier. Anyway, I just wanted to send you an update and thank you again. Russ
