Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Dawn

Anyway Dawn is settling in nicely. We absolutely love her to death. She is just the sweetest thing in the world. She follows me around everywhere like a shadow and sleeps with me every night. I think because I spent the most time with her initially, she tends to favor me but she gets along with everyone… She just doesn’t want to be around the cat though… She takes the long route if she has too lol… She’s had a couple accidents, but I think it’s more of her getting used to the environment and us getting used to her. She doesn’t really ‘signal’ when she needs to go, so we just take her outside often. She goes for a car ride every morning with my dad to get his Dunkin Donuts. He takes her for walks in the evenings and I play fetch with her everyday. We’re trying to figure out what treats to give her because she doesn’t really like the ones we have, so if you have any suggestions that would be great. She does like the dental chewys we give her once a day though.

But, She has the sweetest disposition and we absolutely adore her. She’s actually laying down right next to me in our screened in porch. We couldn’t be happier and I can tell she is too!!!

Dack

He went for a couple of walks, had a bath (found out he is not much for water), went to the pet store for some last minute items. He and Joy are figuring it out already. Now he is shutting down for the night. Been a good day.

Diego

Diego is such a sweetie. He seems to be adjusting well so far. I took him on a couple of runs and he does great. We are working on his inside manners like not jumping on couches or beds and potty training. But he's learning quickly. I'm looking forward to many happy years with Diego .

Duke aka Andrew

Hi there! We adopted Duke from Judy 6 years ago. He was the horribly emaciated GSD. Just wanted to let you know he's STILL my best friend, alive, well, and doing fantastic! He thinks he's still a puppy and the vet says he looks amazing for being at least 11-13 years old!

David

Oh my goodness!! What a sweet, sweet boy!!! He did so well and he is so well trained. He is wonderful and we are so grateful to have him.  He loves to play, run and just snuggle next to all of us.  My son, Martin is so happy but I think I am happier.

He will be spoiled with love and attention!!!

Thank you for the opportunity and for all your help!!!
