Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Claudia the Trained Cur Hound Pup

The meeting went great and Claudia is now a very happy member of our family! So far she has been perfect. She really loved the pool! She has had another good day today. She does have a lot of energy, but we are keeping her pretty busy! Thanks for all your help. -Nancy

Hi Diane, Carlson is wonderful! He is perfectly trained and well behaved. He loves cuddling and is very happy. It’s the best decision I’ve made and appreciate your help. Thanks! Lindsay

Cher the English Bulldog Diva

It's been a few months so I figured I would update you on Meatball's status (formerly known as Cher the Diva).  Having her around has been an extreme enjoyment in my life.  She's so loving and laid back. Every time I come home from work she sprints to the door and greets me with a lot of love and It's very pleasant.  This is for sure Meatballs permanent home because I will never give her up!  She is still picky on who she likes, but overall no big issues (can't my girlfriend's sisters kids, but I guess that's ok with me because now they never come over :) ).  It's been so long since I've had a furry companion and I have forgotten what it felt like to have one.  Meatball has reminded me that having a pet raises the quality of life in a person and now I can't believe I went so long without one!  Anyways, thanks again for Meatball.  If it wasn't for your wonderful rescue shelter I never would have met her.  Here are some pics of her and what she looks like today (she's lost 12 pounds on her new diet and exercise regimen.

Clifford the Great Pyrenees
Clifford the Great Pyrenees

Barb, Thought you would want to know that Clifford is doing great! We have him on Blue Buffalo food and he loves it, and we have him on an glucosamine etc meds that are working well. He is having no problems going up and down the 4 steps in the back and is playing with our other dog. We are thinking of getting his knee operated on as it is a torn meniscus and he would be a lot more comfortable. We puppy sat my daughters two puppies for 8 days and he had a blast with them. They all played together wonderfully. Thanks for letting us add him to our home. Vikki
