Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Charlie the Kitten

Just wanted to let you know Charlie and Teddy arrived this Thursday (after our trip.) After many hours of exploring, they seem to be settling in well. It was a good call to adopt the two because they do everything together! They are really fun and seem very well behaved. Thanks for all you do,

Claudia the 4 Paw Declawed

Another update on the kitties..both are now completely at home here. They still avoid each other but will lay within feet of one another. They both love to play with their toys and with their imaginary friends. Suzy's favorite hangout is the sink in our guest bathroom. She loves to lay in it all curled up. She'll also drink, but the water has to pour over her head! Funny cat. Sadie is so much better now, Sh's no longer skittish and has basically taken over. Here are a couple of recent pictures! Pictures of Sadie to follow.

Chris Young the Shepherd/Lab
Chris Young the Shepherd/Lab

Hi Brian, It was such a pleasure meeting you yesterday. We can't thank you enough for our new addition in our family : ) So far he has meet 15 members of our extended family and will be meeting his canine cousins later this week. (We are a dog loving family : ) He is such a snuggle bunny and hasn't been far from our side since bringing him home. Last night he slept in a kennel beside our bed and is extremely quiet as long as he can see us. He has been on many walks and walks very well on a leash. He is adorable when it is time to eat. He runs over to his dish and sits so pretty until we walk over. We are having a bit of an issue getting him to pee outside though. We have walked him and played with him outside for 20-30 minutes intervals without any peeing and as soon as we put him in his kennel he pees (no house accidents, just kennel), so we'll have to work on that. My husband says he has a bladder like a camel : ) Currently, we are outside and he is laying by my side listening to all the "new" sounds : ) Thank you again! Blessings, Jacquie, Todd and kids

Cole the Cuddly Kitten

We adopted Cole almost 3 weeks ago and I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how well he’s doing. It only took 2 days for him to come out from under the bed and take over the house. He is totally opposite from the shy kitty we took home. He runs around and is very vocal. He slept with us every night. He doesn’t have a name here yet, no one can agree but my husband and I have called him “Tax” for the cartoon character Tasmanian Devil that just runs and runs! The last couple days he’s been sleeping a lot, hiding in the cat tree and not playing as much, hoping it isn’t anything to worry about. He is loved by everyone except the female tabby but that isn’t a surprise. He is fearless and already gaining weight. We are having trouble keeping him away from people food, I think he had a bad habit of eating “everything in sight”, and spraying him with water doesn’t faze him. Thank you for your hours of patience with us that day at the mall. You were successful in matching us up. Wish we could have taken his mom or brother.
