Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Camila
Camila

To give you an update, Camila is doing FANTASTIC! We could not be happier with her. She is SO SMART! She has fit right in. The day after adopting her, we loaded her up in the car and went two hours to Tampa to visit my parents. She was perfect the entire trip and won over my cat-loving mother, which is saying a lot. It was great to see that she will be comfortable to go places with us as we intend to take her with us when ever possible. She's been sleeping in bed with my 12 yo son and last night woke him up nibbling on his hand to tell him she needed to go out. He let her out, she did her thing and then they went right back to sleep. The entire family just adores her and we feel we are the lucky ones to have found her. Thank you for saving her for us. Love, The ********** Family

Carly *THE SENIOR BEAUTY*
Carly *THE SENIOR BEAUTY*

Hi -- It’s been about a week since I adopted Carly and brought her home to live with me. Although I think we’re both still learning to be good housemates, we’re getting along great. Carly is, as you know, a very sweet cat, and I enjoy her being here. She’s eating well and drinking plenty of water. She’s used the litter box well since the first day she got here. And she has learned (or should I say, she has trained me) that a treat awaits her when she uses the scratching post. I took her to the vet a couple of days ago, just for a check-up. The vet says she seems to be in excellent health, and the vet staff clipped Carly’s claws for me as well. So I wanted to thank you all for taking care of Carly for the almost two years that she was at your shelter. I think her coming to live with me was a very good thing for both her and me. Sincerely, Susan

Carmelina The Italian Puppy

Chico
Chico

Good afternoon Andra, Just wanted to give you an update, Chico is soooo cute and happy with his new sisters….and us of course… Please tell his former foster mom that our hairless cutie pie is growing hair daily. Not enough to completely cover but getting there. I bathe him in oatmeal bath and soothe him and we have switched all over to Blue Buffalo, all of their coats seem softer. We just love him… Thanks again to you and thanks to Judy and the gang at Pet Rescue for all they do to save these babies…. We also have Samantha aka Sammie that we adopted a year and a half ago from PRBJ at 11 years old and she is thriving…we love her too….. Lisa

Cadbury the Tiny Chi Puppy

Oliver is settling in and doing great. Eating well, and working on the potty training. Our daughter Allison is doing a good job as the mom, but he plays with all of us. He's definitely having fun running around the house. That is one fast dog!
