Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Bubba Gump the Blind Lab Blend

We adopted Bubba Gump in July 2014. With him being entirely blind, there was a steep learning curve for all of us. We have gotten everything all figured out now and he is really happy here and I can't imagine life without him. We initally got him for my daughter, but he is very much "my" baby! He loves playing in the yard and going on hikes and playing in water and having his chest rubbed!!!

Bear

Well Janie, it has been a little over four months since I adopted Bear.  He is doing well.  I love him so much.  He is getting somewhat spoiled.  I feed him a grain-free premium food only (Merrick).  He even has his own ice ream made just for dogs.  He has a nice fenced in back yard but because of his allergies he doesn't like to spend too much time outdoors.

The only problem he has is his severe allergies.  I take him to my vet for shots about every six weeks.  I also give him Benadryl twice a day.  it helps quite a bit.  His uncle Richie gives him a bath every two weeks.  Next week he is going in for his first professional grooming.

Right now he is sleeping next to me sprawled out on the bed.  Lucky little boy and lucky me.
Just thought you might want to know he is doing well.  Thank you for helping me to give him a good home.

Butter
Butter

Hi Yvette!Just wanted to sent a quick note to tell you, Judy and the rest of the staff that Butter is happy and doing well. He has adjusted more quickly than I thought and is loving and a lot of fun. He had his first bath this Monday and wasn't thrilled, but enjoyed all the hands-on time. Today Bob took hin to the dog park and he and a bulldog ran around until the bulldog wore out. Butter is eating and sleeping well and has become as attched to us as we are to him. Thank you for a wonderful little companion. Sincerely,Lois

Boo

Since bringing Boo home we have experienced a whole new level of love.  Daily, he plays with other dogs in our neighborhood which causes him to take a nice, long nap when he gets home!  He has learned how to sit, lie down, and shake on command.  Thank you so much for taking care of Boo and many others so that they can find loving, forever homes.

Bandit
Bandit

We all fell in love with him. Thank you so much, many things that led to the adoption were meant to be, and now Pat has our God Child Bandit. Thank you again for being so helpful. Have a wonderful 2015! We haven't seen Pat this happy in a very long time. Peace, Sandy, Shirley, Pat and Bandit!
