...Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you... I loved you so - 'twas heaven here with you. -Isla Paschal Richardson

Jack
Jackie-boy was 7 1/2 years old. The funniest part about his beginning with us is that we moved down here in June 2003, we adopted Indy about 1 week in(not planned just stumbled on Pet Rescue by Judy in PetSmart Altamonte) Ian saw her, she was all white with toasted marshmallow color on her. We adopted her right then and there. :o)
2 weeks later, we go back to PetSmart and her brother, Jack was still there and unadopted. We look at him and Andy says 'Don't tell me...you want him too?' So, Jackie-boy became ours. We brought him home and he & Indy were so thrilled to see each other.
Indy was the alpha of the relationship so everything was about her. He'd spend hours grooming her, cleaning her ears and her eyes and just loving her. Sometimes we'd have to tell him to stop because the slurping would just become too much. LOL!
Jack didn't have a mean bone in his body, he was truly the most gentle creature ever. However, he did seem to have some issues with the UPS man. I can't tell you how many times we came home to find our vertical blinds looking like swiss cheese! I actually have a stock of replacement blinds! Levelor is going to miss Jack as well, I'm certain that their stock price will drop now that he is gone.
He loved to go on long walks, he had a friend behind a fence that he would look for and walk really slowly near the yard to see if his friend would come to say Hi. I don't know what his friend's name is but so sweet that he was his friend and they barely knew each other.
On Sunday(keep in mind that Jack passed on Monday,) we bought the 3 dogs doggie bagels from Einstein's. Indy didn't do anything with hers and neither did Sadie. I broke Jack's up for him because he didn't really care to eat hard things. However, he gathered up theirs while they were unattended and put them on his bed, like he was the king of the bagels. Very funny!
Leo
Leo was a sweet gentle soul, a comedian, a dictator, a sage, an epicurian, a hippie, a great orator and perhaps the best thing ever to walk (or waddle) or four legs. I know that I and his original owner Chris are saddened beyond belief by the passing of this silly old man. The love given to him was returned 10 fold and more. Few things on earth will ever make me as happy as hearing him yell "helloooooooooo" when I walked through the door, or the soothing sound of his purr when he got his head scratched. Leo - my sweet buddy - I'll miss you. You were a prince among cats.
Murphy
Back in the end of January, I put my 16 year old cat Murphy down due to cancer. In March, I was found by his carbon copy. A 5 month old kitten who, as soon as he saw me, meowed and did circles excitedly, when I knelt down to pet him he climbed on my lap, put his paw to my cheek & licked my nose. I went down hook, line & sinker, in love with this darling. It was amazing to me that he also looked so much like my previous cat. I had Murphy II for only 4 months, he was a dream kitten, fun, loving, loved to be held & be on your lap. I adored him. Our bond was immediate and strong. I just couldn't have found a better replacement for the wonderful cat I had recently lost. From the time I took him & his best buddy (who looks exactly my my first Murphy's best buddy and is just as wonderful), I could see that they had an upper respiratory tract infection & treated them with antibiotics, it just wouldn't go completely away. As it turned out both kittens are
FIP+ and while the other kitten is still healthy, Murphy's developed the wet form of this viral infection. He went from one day being a normal kitten to the next day of having labored breathing. As it turned out, his lungs became so filled with fluid that he hardly had room for air & I ended up having to euthanize him. Those four months were precious & not nearly long enough. Tigger, his best buddy, Opie his second best buddy & I will miss him enormously!
Thanks for posting this little memorial to my baby.

Brandy my Life Saver
I had to put my pup down this wednesday June 2,2010 it was the day after her 14th birthday. She was in too much pain for me to have her suffer through so i had to do what was best for her. She went in my arms.Brandy was the best pup anyone could ask for, she was the most popular dog in the neighborhood everyone knew and loved her. She was so good with kids even when they would yank on her tail she would just give you a look begging you to give her a hand. She was very popular at the park when she was mobile. She loved playing on the slides and the merry-go-round with all the kids. She was my life, always there for me. She slept with me everynight and boy she was a bed hog. She always found a way to lay so that anyone else would have to find a corner to curl up in, even in a king sized bed and when she couldn't make it up on the bed i made one for us on the floor. She was my ultimate comfort, the one thing in my life that was constant and good no not just good; perfect. She had the most beautiful brown eyes, when she looked at you through them it was like having a conversation and her eyebrows, she used to do the funniest expressions with them. She was my life saver in more ways than i can count. I will love and miss you forever my Boo. Hope you are happy wherever you are. Your sister Erica
