Lexi and her mom Lucy had a nice home and then one of their owner's died unexpectedly in a horrible accident.   They were then surrendered to our no-kill shelter.   Both dogs are fantastic, housetrained, they get along with other dogs and are good with children. "Mommy Lucy" and her baby Lexi have been together since Lexi was born and they are bonded and must be adopted together.  Both dogs are so well behaved.

Lucy is heartworm positive.  At PRBJ, we use the slow kill method and she has started her treatment.  At Lucy's time of adoption, the family will go home with six months of Heartgard. They will also be given literature on heartworm positive dogs and the slow kill method.

Let's try to keep these 2 beautiful dogs together...
