Frazier was found lost and a very kind person took him home and cleaned him up. He surrendered him to PRBJ. Frazier is very sweet and gets along with our other dogs. He enjoys snuggling and being around people.
Not familiar with silky terriers? According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Silky Terrier was originally developed in 19th century Australia from other terrier breeds such as the Skye and Cairn but primarily the Australian Terrier and the Yorkshire Terrier. American servicemen stationed in Australia during World War II brought Silky Terriers home with them after the war. This loving, little terrier is very intelligent, courageous and alert. Affectionate, spunky cheerful and sociable, they like to be close to their master, but do not accept them to be a "mellow" lap dog. They are full of energy. Curious about everything, it is an enthusiastic digger. They have the soft hair of the Yorkie and the stockier build of the Aussie. Their hair can be allowed to grow long and does not shed (okay, all dogs shed, but not much). They are truly a "big dog in a small body." They have a life exectancy of 12-15 years.
