Print an adoption flyer for Nala!
My name is Nala and I've been at PRBJ roughly 4 years. I'm a good dog and I love everyone that works here but when I love someone I get very protective of them, but isn't that my job??? I really need a home with a single person or a couple, someone that doesn't have a lot of company, and most importantly will be patient with me and see that I really only want to love my person and protect them. I was adopted for about 6 months and my owners loved me but when they would have people over I became nervous and that became an issue for them. I bond easily with one or two people and that's it so that's why we say only one or a couple. I wish someone would give me a chance to show them what a good girl I am...
1/3/2017 foster update: For an experienced dog owner, Nala's behavior is not a significant issue. It's just a matter of her getting used to her new surroundings and all the new people.
Over the weekend, my son, daughter and grandsons were all here and obviously we were very cautious with Nala around new people. Everything went fine and no issues occurred.
New owner(s) need know that she is a young, energetic dog that needs some strength to control. If it was only me to consider, I would keep Nala as she and I get along just fine! However, she is too strong for my wife. I hate to have to have to return Nala because she and I have become very attached to each other in a short period of time. Keeping her in an area that is segregated from the rest of the house so we have total control has been a positive situation for Nala as she understands her boundaries and who is in control.
It has been a great week to have her in our home and I wish we could have kept her longer. She is a great dog for an alpha owner(s) willing to put in the time and effort.
