Foster Update:  If you are looking for a new family member, Brody is for you!

He is house trained and a sweet companion.

He is very smart, in the time he has been with us, he learned to potty outside, he knows how to give the paw,  “give other paw, “speak”, sit, play fetch, he really loves playing fetch! He is so good at it. In the afternoons, my 8 year olds go out with him to play for a while, they really enjoy that time, most of the times other kids neighbors play with them as well, and Brody always is very nice with everyone.

After going for a walk in the mornings, he likes to take a long nap in a bed that we got for him, which he loves! He is usually free at the house, and he doesn’t take anything that doesn’t belong to him (except food of course!) He has his toys and bones, and he would play with those to entertain himself.

He loves to go out for a nice walk; He is very friendly with kids, and other people, sometimes he feels a little intimidated by men. But once he gets to know them he is comfortable.

At night, we take him out to potty, and then once inside, we tell him: “Nite nite” and he knows that is time to go to bed, and he would go to his bed, I have to confess that sometimes he sleeps with us in the bed.

I would recommend him for a family with a back yard, because he really likes to be outside a little bit in the middle of the morning, before nap time, and then he likes to go for a walk in the afternoons, and of course, play fetch!

Oh! If you tell him “Ggo get your leash”, he would go and bring it to you, knowing that is time to go outside for his walk, he is so cute!

With the family is very loving and super sweet, and I must say again that he is a very smart dog, and he really loves and enjoys being a part of a family!

Brody was rescued when two very nice young ladies saw him wandering around their neighborhood. They searched for his owner by putting signs up, went on Craigs list, Facebook, etc. and no one claimed him.  He is a sweet boy and will make an awesome family dog!
Brody likes to play with other dogs. We are unsure about cats, but can cat test him if you have a cat.  He does know some tricks.  He is happy and playful, and he loves to cuddle with you.  He will jump on you out of excitement.  Brody loves all kind of toys and he dislikes baths.  As he is young and playful, children over the age of five would be best.

UPDATE 02/09/2016  Brody's current owner is not able to keep him, but she is going to foster him till he gets adopted.  Here is a note that she has written up regarding him.

He is a wonderful dog!   He needs his daily exercise, by this I mean that he needs to run everyday.  I get him out in the middle of the mornings for a walk and then I let him run.  Then he gets out again in the afternoons to run and do some exercise, plus he has to go out in the early morning to go to the bathroom, and the same thing after dinner and before going to bed.   He is very friendly with kids, but since he is still very young, he doesn't realize how strong he is, so I wouldn't recommend him for young kids [probably] younger than six years old.   He has an issue trusting men, but as soon as he gets use to them, he is very nice. I think he was abused by a men, by the way he acts. He also is very pr otective of his family.   He eats dry food and loves to learn new things and have treats when doing it. He is a very smart dog and has to be challenged; otherwise he will get bored.   I have bought him those chew bones and he really enjoys them and then he will take a nap after that.

He knows how to play fetch, something that he really enjoys doing in the afternoons (he really, really needs to run and be free for a while every day).    He knows how to do some tricks as well, like "paw", "sit" ,"speak", he is learning "lay down" and my kids are teaching him "other paw" as well. He is really smart!   I have a bed that we bought for him, which he loooves!  He also has a blanket, and...oh!! when we tell him that he is going for a walk, we taught him to go get his leash (that is always in the same place), and he goes and get it,  he is soooo cute!!

I would recommend a forever family that has lots of space for him to run, and to give him time and really wants to spend time with him.  He loves feeling a part of the family....and to be honest with you, he sleeps with us in our beds.  I have nothing negative to say about him - he is a wonderful dog.  We just cannot give him what he needs with our daily busy life style.
