Foster Update:  08/13/2015
Rashee enjoys his long daily walks and car rides and is totally housetrained.   He has overcome his fear of thunder, and is a people pleaser and loves to be around children.  Rashee will make a great family dog. Give him a nyla bone and he will have the time of his life .

I was pulled from a high kill shelter and was handed over to PRBJ.  I am a 6 year old male that is due for my forever  home.  I like to go out in play groups with the other dogs .  I am a very sweet dog and all I want is to be loved by someone.    I am up to date on all shots and neutered.
Thank you....Rashee.

Foster Update 8/11/15:
Rashee is a sweet, lovable guy who loves everyone we have met.  He has met my neighbors and he loves their 12 year old daughter.  I don't know about small children as he may accidently knock them over in his excitement to see them.  He has really seemed to like everyone that he has met.  He gets along fine with my 2 Shih Tsu - one male and one female.  He has also done well meeting other dogs.  He walks well on a leash and does not pull.  If he sees another dog he just looks at it and goes on.  We have not run across any cats yet so not sure about that.  He has moderate to high energy levels depending on what he is doing.  He isn't real large and is not real strong so is easy to handle.  He is black with some brindle coloring and is really a beautiful dog.  Rashee eats 1 cup of food twice a day.
Rashee does not seem to know too many commands so we are working on those.  He is house trained and does not bark much at all.  He sleeps on the floor in the bedroom on my side of the bed.  He sleeps through the night - does not have to go out during the night.
Rashee is a really good dog and I hope that he is adopted by a family with children who will play with him.  He acts young and is very playful.
The only thing you have to watch is that he will chew up tennis balls, paper or cork coasters.  He does not mess with the furniture or remotes.

07/22/2015  Rashee went out for a day with a very nice couple and they told us that Rashee is very good with meeting strangers, loves the car and had a little trouble with the steps but by the second time he was alot better.   He is kind of scared with the thunder.

*** Are you not familiar with Rottweilers? According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Rottie is calm, trainable, courageous, and devoted to their owner and family. The Rottweiler is probably descended from the Italian Mastiff. During the Middle Ages, it was used as a herd dog. It was bred in the German town of Rottweil in Wurttemberg. Practically extinct in the 1800's, the breed population began a comeback in the early twentieth century due to the efforts of enthusiastic breeders centered in Stuttgart. Some of the Rottweilers talents include: tracking, herding, watchdogging, guarding, police work, carting, competitive obedience, and schutzhund. They have a reliable temperament. Protective, he will defend his family fiercely. They require owners who can handle their massive size. The Rottie is a natural guard dog with a mellow temperament. They are highly intelligent and have proven their worth beyond question in police, military, and customs work over many centuries. This breed needs a lot of companionship and socialization to be truly happy. They can be aggressive with other dogs and should be kept on leashes in public places. Friends and relatives of the family are normally enthusiastically welcomed. Strangers can get no further than the sidewalk. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
