Description:Foster Update 8/11/15:
Mimi is a black Lab mix (we are suspecting some greyhound). She weighs 47 lbs and is tall and lean, and healthy. She loves to play and chase balls, take walks, and run around. She is crate trained and sleeps well at night. She also likes to take naps during the day time.
Mimi currently eats dry dog food and I feed her the Provina ProPlan EN. She eats a cup in the morning and cup at night.
Mimi is well trained. She sits and lays on command, she is potty trained. She also knows, "Go get your toy", command. She also knows come as well.
She loves other dogs and gets along well with them. She is good around cats, doesn't pay them much attention, but has a mutual respect. She is also great with kids. She loves all the attention children give, and doesn't mind a little poking and prodding.
Mimi requires a lot of attention, at times too much. Sometimes, she needs to be redirected to lay down, or get on her bed, in order to have some space. She does not like brooms or loud noises. If something is loud, she usually finds a safe place to lay down. Mimi also loves car rides! She is always up for jumping in:)
She has much love to give, and would be great with a family with children, or someone with a very active lifestyle.
Foster Update: 6/9/15: Mimi is a sweet, kind-hearted, two and a half year old dog. She loves to be around people, from kids to adults, and is good with other dogs and even cats. Mimi is very well trained. She is potty trained, crate trained, and stays near when off the leash. A simple command and Mimi can be directed to sit, lay or go potty. She interacts well with other dogs, and can be very playful at times. She loves to run and fetch balls, even though there are times she gets lost along the way. (We are still working on that.) Mimi sometimes struggles with sharing her toys, but a simple command and she will release whatever she has.
Mimi was treated for demodex mange, which is NOT contagious. She is missing some patches of hair, but after her treatment it will grow in again and she will look good as new. She is a really nice size, super sweet, and has a lot of love to give. Please consider giving Mimi the forever home she deserves!
