Rosie was returned to PRBJ through no fault of her own.  Unfortunately, the landlord told her owners that they could not keep the dog.  After numerous attempts to find an affordable apartment that would allow a dog they had no choice but to surrender Rosie who lived with them for 8 years.

Please do not let her age fool you to thinking she is an old dog that cannot be taught new tricks.  She is very intelligent and food motivated so teaching her is very easy.  
Rosie is a sweet and loving dog that enjoys the company of her humans.  She does know basic commands and understands that no or leave it means she better find something else to do.

She enjoys playing with toys but will tear stuffed toys up so it is better to give her toys for strong chewers. She likes to chase the ball and play fetch. She would do well in a home with an active or couch potato family. 

Rosie is great on the leash and really enjoys her walks.  She actually seems to prefer a walk to do her business then being in the backyard.  When in the back she will quickly do her thing and is right back at the door to come in, nothing about being in the yard excites her. 

Rosie loves kids and plays well with them.  Her previous family had kids and so does her foster home and she enjoys their company whether playing or just laying around watching tv.

Rosie geta along great with other dogs. In her previous home she was around a larger dog and smaller dogs in foster (English and French bulldogs, a chihuahua and a Chinese Crested. 

Her previous home had a guinea pig and she got along with it.  And her foster family has parrots which she has only walked up to see who is making all the noise but has not bothered them or growled or anything to scare them.
