Special Needs: Eye Problem

02/10/2015 Kenny has basically grown up at our facility.  It is sad, because he is the sweetest baby you could ever imagine.  He loves to cuddle with our visitors when we get them, he loves to give Eskimoe kisses and play.  Unfortunately, he does have an eye condition known as "Eye Herpes", it is not contagious to humans but is to other cats.  It can flare up with stress related conditions such as living in the shelter and he will need eye drops for the rest of his life that is not expensive.  If he is not in a stressful environment he most likely would not need the eye drops.  Please look beyond the eye and give this baby the chance of a real home. He is known as a special needs cat and Kenny knows there is SOMEONE out there that would love him.   

Kenny was found by the police department.  We have discovered has a medical issue with his right eye. He has been taken to the Veterinary Specialist Center and he will need special eye meds for life.  But that should not discourage you to adopt Kenny because he is so loveable and loves to play and hug and reach out to you.  He would do best being the only cat.  Please, at least come in and visit this beautiful cat that is long overdue for his furever home...
