Description:
Twinkle is a lovely long haired cat with the most beautiful golden eyes. She is only one year old but, oh, she has been through so much. She came to us from another rescue up north. When they first got her, they didn't think she would make it. She was emaciated, sick, and had almost given up on life. Through their efforts, she gained weight, recovered her health, and learned to love again. They asked us to help find her a home and we couldn't refuse. Even when we got Twinkle she wasn't 100%. Still underweight, she was so upset by the transfer that she started to withdraw again. But we loved her through it and now she is eating again on her own. She is still too underweight to be spayed, but as soon as she is, we will want to find her the best home ever!

8/6 Volunteer Update:
If there were an "America's Next Top Model" for cats, Miss Twinkle would be the hands-down winner. She loves the camera. I'd never seen a cat "pose" before, but Twinkle was all about the photo ops, purring away as she gave us her best angles! :)

9/8 Volunteer Update:
It might have been appropriate to name this one "Flower" because she has completely blossomed in the time she's been here. But Twinkle is perfect too - because she's a star and a jewel. She is baby soft and cute as a button. She will jump up to meet your hand to get petted and purrs like nobody's business. And brushing her is no work at all - just hold the brush out and she'll strut back and forth and do all the work for you. What a big heart in such a little cat :)
