Description: 12/23/2014 King was returned today from his home due to family issues. Here is what they ahd to say about King: King is doing great, when he first entered my house he did a complete walk through... it was to cute. He adjusted very well, ate well, slept well, barked at the knock of the door. When we take him for walks, he didn't even react to other dogs barking. I'm in the process of trying to keep him from pulling when he walks, and he's learning quickly. He seems to like my couch, so I'm working on him not to jump on my couch. He just looks at me and wags his tail like, "Please, can I lie here?" He is a good dog; wish we could have kept him.
King was rescued by a good samaritan who found him wandering around her yard. He is good with dogs and ignores cats. He is very friendly, but will need a strong, dominant owner as he is so physically strong. King is ready and looking for his forever home!
Volunteer Update: King is an awesome dog! Sweet, fun and playful! He loves attention and is a very good boy. He completely ignores cats and seems to like other dogs. He does well with the dhildren at the Oviedo Adoption Center and just simply wants attention. We love having him at Oviedo and everyone seems to enjoy meeting him!
The Rottie is powerful, calm, trainable, courageous and devoted to its owner and family. Loyal and protective, it will defend its family fiercely if needed, seemingly immune to pain. Serious, even-tempered, brave, confident and courageous, this breed needs an owner who is strong minded, calm, but firm and able to handle this dog’s massive size. The Rottie is a docile, natural guard dog with a laid-back, reliable temperament. It is highly intelligent and has proven its worth beyond question in police, military and customs work over many centuries and can be trained for competitive obedience.
