Mercedes is a Terrier that we rescued from Seminole County Animal Control. We had gone there to pull out Maddy, a Chocolate Lab who had been beaten with a baseball bat, but while we were there the wonderful workers of the shelter begged us to take this sweet girl as well. What can we say? Mercedes is a very sweet, loving dog who will smother you with kisses. She loves to swim, so a house with a pool would be great for her!

 

Mercedes was adopted about 2 years ago. She was returned because she wasn't getting along with one of the dogs in the home. She does get along with most dogs!

"Mercedes is like a big dog in a little package with a fantastic sense of humor. She has made her foster parents laugh daily with her outgoing personality. Mercedes is in heaven when she's paddling around in a pool or lake; she recently demonstrated her ability to swim for nearly three hours straight at a bar-b-q. Mercedes is very well house-trained and will stick to you wonderfully when walking off-leash, even if there are people or other dogs around as distractions. Mercedes loves to play with our other foster dog, and she's careful not to bite her human caretakers in play. Mercedes is also quite the romantic; she loves to sneak kisses when you least expect! Mercedes is a wonderful, lively dog full of personality who doesn't cause any trouble at all. She'll bring lots of love and laughter into a lucky owner's home."
